Of the moonlight
Stroking your naked back
Of your hair
Softly cascading across my shoulder
Of your breathing
Slow & even on my chest
Of my arm
Fitting perfectly around you
Of my hand
Lovingly caressing your cheek
Of perfection
That I held in my arms
For one night
Your body was mine
For Ever

You were standing there in the pouring rain
Early that stormy morning
Yelling & screaming
Begging & pleading
Throwing up your hands,
Oblivious to the water falling all around you
I was being foolish, crazy, unreasonable...
True all of it
I was going against my heart
My every instinct
Which yelled for me
To take your rain soaked body in my arms
Begin by kissing you
And end by making love to you
But instead
I walked away
I packed my bags
I held back my tears
I neither agreed or disputed your reasoning
I spoke no words at all
I fought everything inside of me
And I left
Not whole.
Not in the same condition I was in when I first laid eyes on you
I left a huge part of my heart in your hands
I drove away without looking back
But I know

A dream I had

Bliss heaven, paradise

And my heart?
No longer my own
No longer secure in my chest
For I saw it there
In her hands
And she smiled at me
But I left not empty-handed
For she gave to me
Easily, willingly, unconditionally
her own
sweet heart.
