Two Lives, One Heart

This poem was inspired by my soulmate, who I met in this lifetime thirteen years ago. But who I know I have shared many lifetimes with before and will share many lifetimes to come.

I have heard it said
for everyone there is another.
Halves in search of the other
Fulfilling the need of being whole.
Many search, unending is their quest.
For in the grand scheme
How easily two lives can be lost.
Two lives
Longing , in search of the other
For a moment is all we have to touch the other
For one soul to dare sense the heart of the other
One moment, If lost
only fate may beget another chance.

Two hearts aching for the caress
to quiet the beating of their pain
The touch of the soul that is theirs
The touch of peace and love
Reserved for the joining of the special two.
Two hearts entwined together
synchronized to the beating of time.

Two souls adrift in time
Two lives lost in a lifetime
In a moment their hearts join

Two lives … One heart.

Endings, Beginnings

A warrior, traveling in despair.
The weight of her past on her heart.
Unable to bear the guilt of her sins any longer,
She collapses, defeated
she lies down to sleep.

A voice reaches into her soul
Awakening her spirit.
Green eyes pierce through her defenses
Seeing the sorrow within,
Seeing the truth lost.

Without a word,
An innocent girl reaches out
Leading the warrior from the darkness
And onto the path of redemption.

Journey

We journey along, together.
Each of us searching
for ourselves.
Knowing that strength,
real strength,
is in the sharing
of knowledge,
of wisdom,
of experience.
For each of us, separate
cannot defeat the demons.
But combined,
each of us
a part,
a reflection of the other.
It is the journey
that teaches each of us,
who we are.

The Eyes of Love

Just once…
I wish when you looked in the mirror
you would see yourself through my eyes.
Then you would see yourself as I do…
Warm, Caring, Funny, Loving.

You would see a women's eyes
looking deep into my soul.
You would feel the love in a touch
though her hands never reach for you.
You would see a women
willing to give everything to the one she loved.
You would know
You could accomplish anything
because she believes in you.

You would see a women
worthy of the greatest of all gifts…
My love.

Singing A Song

Inspired by hobbes

For what is a Warrior
Without a Bard?
Who shall speak my name
In a tone of gentleness -
That sings of a different warrior.
One filled with love
Only a Bard knows of…

Where gone is my inner voice?
That allows me to sing of a warrior
unbeknownst to many.
A warrior, my warrior,
A woman so filled with love
Only do my eyes see.
Oh muse, don't leave me
Without you I have no key.
Without you,
No songs to sing.
And history will tell
Of a warrior, known to many.
My warrior,
Gone,
Because I have no song to sing.

A Thought of You

I think of you
when I see
how crazy this world
has gotten.
As the days slowly
march on
louder, busier, faster.
No time for me.
Amid the strife
I pause
every now and then
to watch a child
pick a flower
throw a ball
ride a bike,
And think of you.
Suddenly,
there is a smile
that comes from deep within.
And I laugh to myself.
What children we were
as we grew together.
And how we lost each other
to the world of the grown-ups.
But you will never be lost
In my heart,
'Cause everyday
I think of you
And wonder…
Does she miss me too?
