THE KRONOS STONE Part 3d

“ Little curious aren’t you Gabrielle?” Xena asked pointedly.
Gabrielle blushed from the meaning, and simply went quiet and went to the
dining room where Kiara had found breakfast already made and a note for her at
the table. She was just picking up the note when the others came in.
“ What’s this?” Kiara asked of Gabrielle.
“ I didn’t know whether you were going to go with us today, or if I was going
to see you before then, so I wanted to tell you how I felt before we were
gone.”
Kiara’s eyes begun to glisten, but she held the tears at bay.
“ Thank you Gabrielle. Do you mind if I read it later, it’ll give me something
to look forward to?”
“ I understand, I don’t mind at all.” Gabrielle replied.
They then went to sit at the table and talked about what the plan was. Finally
the time came to leave and go and get the stone. They drove to the waters edge
which would lead to the island home of Delam Sanant, the thief that had stolen
his last antique.
“ Okay, here we are, I’m going to swim over to the island, and make my way
inside and to Delam’s bedroom.”
“ Xena can you make that swim, I mean it’s at least an hours swim?” Kiara
asked with concern registering in her voice.
“ Don’t worry, it won’t take me that long to get there.”
“ What about sharks?”
“ There are none in these waters, the guards made sure of that by killing
everyone they saw, and I think the message got through to the other sharks
because people now swim these waters as if their had never been any sharks in
them.” Renna explained to Kiara who again voiced her concerns.
Xena walked up to Kiara who was looking at the water and then at Xena, with
her concern obvious in her face.
Xena took her face in her hands and looking deep into Kiara’s eyes, which now
started to tear as a result, along with Xena’s eyes that started glistening,
she leaned down and just before she kissed Kiara she whispered to her.
“ I love you, don’t ever forget that, ever, promise me you won’t?”
“ I promise, I love you Xena.” Kiara said as Xena covered her trembling lips
with her own, and kissed her with the love she felt inside for the woman.
Xena then broke the kiss and placed a kiss on Kiara’s forehead, she then
hugged her tightly.
“ You should get going Xena?” Renna said from where she was standing watching
the two.
Xena acknowledged Renna, and then with one last kiss to Kiara, Xena let go of
her and walked over to Renna.
“ Renna you have been a good friend to us, and I would be so grateful to you
if you could look in on Kiara from time to time?”
“ I plan on making myself a nuisance to her, just to make sure she’s okay.”
Renna said with a sympathetic smile for Xena’s concerns.
“ Thank you.” Xena then pulled the woman into her and hugged her tightly, and
kissing her on the forehead she then turned to Gabrielle and said with a
smile, “ We’ll be back in our time soon, I’ll see you there okay?”
“ Okay, see you soon Xena. Be careful.”
“ Always.” Xena then turned away and headed for the water, wearing her
leathers and sword and Chakram, all wrapped in a material that would keep them
dry as well as buoyant, so they didn’t cause Xena to sink like a stone, the
rest of her gear she handed to Gabrielle and told her to hold it, otherwise it
would be left.
Xena looked back once more at the three women, and then she let her gaze
linger slightly longer when it fell upon Kiara, who was standing slightly by
herself as she held herself, trying to control the trembling that she was
experiencing. Xena gave her a bright smile, and a wave, and Kiara tried to
smile back, and after a moment finally succeeded in her efforts, she then
waved at Xena and Xena then glanced back at Gabrielle and Gabrielle caught the
meaning and she slowly moved over to Kiara and wrapped her arm around Kiara’s
shoulder, and Kiara leaned her head on Gabrielle shoulder and Xena almost lost
it, she immediately turned and focused and then walking out into the deeper
part of the water, she then dove under the water and begun swimming towards
the island.
Despite Kiara’s pain, she found herself amazed at the speed in which Xena’s
arms and legs were moving in the water, and all without splashing. Kiara
thought Xena moved in the water as if she had been born in it. Soon Xena was
out of their sight. The three women then went back to the car and sitting on
it and in it they waited, and talked about things.
Kiara listened mostly, but she was involved in the conversations, mainly
because Gabrielle and Renna wouldn’t let her withdraw within herself.
Meanwhile Xena was now swimming under the water so that the guards watching
the water would not see her.
Xena came ashore quickly when she saw the guards cross and head in opposite
directions of each other, she went right through the middle of them as their
backs were to her. Xena made it to the house itself and after scanning for the
guards and locating them, she determined the best place to enter was from the
roof of the beachside House.
Xena waited for the guards to cross and then she leaped up to the roof and
stealthily made her way to the sunlit window, looking in she did not see
anyone, and so she eased the window open and peaking in further she located
the camera’s that were scanning the floor area of the room. Xena sat and
thought for a moment and remembering how Tracina’s cameras moved, she then
came up with an idea.
Xena looked along the ceiling of the room she was looking in and she found
what she was looking for, A chandelier was in the center of the room that she
determined she could use to swing into the open doorway. Xena watched the
camera’s and when she was sure they could not see her with the wide view, she
made her move.
Leaping towards the light fixture, she swung and released at the open door,
where she landed light as a feather and then getting out of the doorway, but
not enough to where she would be seen by other camera’s if there were any, she
scanned the room and then seeing only one camera she waited and then shot
across the area and came to some stairs which she knew would lead her to the
bed area of the house.
Checking the stairway for guards, or a camera she saw one at the top on the
ceiling looking down along the stairs, Xena then looked for another way to get
up the stairs so as not to be seen by the camera, she then decided to forgo
the stairs and leaped up and off to the side of them where a balcony type
railing connected with the stairs. She leapt over the railing after check once
again for guards, and seeing none, she looked for more cameras, seeing none,
she figured that Delam did not expect anyone to get past his guards, yet alone
his camera’s especially at the stairs.
Xena smiled to herself at the basic mistake a lot of warlords and their
armies, as well as kings and Queens use to make with that same assumption.
Xena stealthily made her way to the bed area of the floor, and only saw two
guards along the way. After avoiding them she made it to the first bedroom
where she listened first, and not hearing anything she peeled inside.
It was a small room, which Xena judged it was for a servant, by the way it was
scarcely decorated. She closed the door the same way she had opened it and
rapidly moved to the next room, again it looked as though it were a servants
quarters. while Xena was looking in the room she heard people coming, she
quickly ducked inside the room, and peeking out the crack size opening of the
door, she saw it was two well dressed men.
“ Delam, are you really going to go through with destroying another island,
just to test that stones abilities?”
“ Yes! It was a sight to behold! I felt like GOD HIMSELF! Man what a feeling!
It was electric to say the least. I plan on becoming richer than I already am,
can you imagine, by destroying that island everyone is now wondering how it
was done, and others are wondering how they can join with me so that their
little countries won’t be destroyed. I can blackmail the WORLD Grekas.”
“ I think you’ve gone power mad....but I understand fully, after seeing it for
myself, it’s amazing. You could possibly destroy the world to say the least?”
“ Yes, but what purpose would that serve? No, the best way is to make people
fear what they cannot understand and control, and then the world becomes your
oyster.”
Xena looked down the hall behind the two men and seeing no one she quickly
followed after the two men, they soon turned into a door, and Xena eased up to
it to listen, she heard the men’s voices getting fainter and fainter, and soon
she did not hear them. Xena eased the door open and peeking in and seeing no
one she eased inside and then closed the door silently behind her. Then she
eased across the room to another door where she assumed the two had gone
inside of. Xena looked around the room for any camera’s that may have been
around and seeing none, she then listened to the conversation within the room.
The men sounded as though they had their backs to the door and Xena eased the
door open just enough to look inside and see how many people were in the
chamber, she only saw the two men, but she heard two others breathing from in
front of the men , obviously blocked by the two taller men.
“ Open it.” Delam ordered and the guard turned and entered the code, once the
door was open wide, Xena made her move the moment the two men went inside.
She eased into the door and locking it behind her, she wanted to make sure
that Delam did not leave with the stone while she was taking care of the
guards that now were charging her. Xena dodged a swing at her head with one of
the guards fist and catching him in the midsection he bent forward and then
Xena caught him with her powerful foot and sent him flying into
unconsciousness. the next guard was more cautious, he pulled his baton and
twirling it skillfully in his hands he made fake swings at Xena’s head and she
went for two to them before she caught on.
Xena was hit in the chest which made her breath catch for a moment, but she
continued to move, and then the second one caught her in her back, and she
rolled forward and came back to her feet instantly, always watching her back
to see where Delam and the other guy was, and what they were doing.
The Guard then started to stalk Xena, thinking she was injured and just as he
was about to make another swing with his baton, Xena wiped out her dagger and
stuck it into the man’s broad chest, and then twisting it once as a feral grin
came to Xena’s mouth the man knew he had bitten off more than he could chew,
but before he could think about it, he fell to the floor dead the instant Xena
pulled her dagger from the man’s chest.
Now she was covered in blood and when she turned to look at the two men, their
eyes went wide with fear, Xena moved towards them and then she realized that
if she didn’t make her move on the guys, then Delam would realize he had a
very formidable weapon to use against her, so with that thought Xena saw the
man’s eyes suddenly realize what she had and he made a statement to her.
“ Now you have to get from over there to here before I can grab the stone
which I assume is what your here for? Anyway, from there to here before I can
grab the stone and engage it with my hands, with two simple twist, I wonder
how you plan on doing that?”
“ Why did you steal it?”
“ Because of the power it has. But wait a minute...how did you know I stole
it? Unless.....you wouldn’t happened to be from the past would you?”
Xena didn’t answer the man, she just studied him.
“ You are! Your from the past! By the Greek Gods! They sent you here didn’t
they? Grekas, this is a warrior from the past.”
“ The past? You mean pass as in we’ve seen her before?”
“ No, I mean time past, she’s from the Renaissance period, maybe a little
before. Who are you?”
“ I’m Xena the Destroyer of Nations, and your Delam Sanant the thief who stole
the Kronos stone from the protectors of it.”
“ Xena? Wow! You really exist, I don’t know whether to be honored by your
visit or afraid for my life?”
“ The Latter, your about to die Delam, and so is your poor friend Grekas,
sorry, but your just in the wrong place at the wrong time. “ Xena said with
and evil smile on her lips.
“ Well, like I said, first you have to get to me, before I get it.” Delam
said, and then like a flash he went for the Stone.
Xena knew she would not be able to get to him before he got the stone, so the
moment Delam reached for the stone, his hands were severed off by Xena’s
Chakram, that then ricochet and severed Grekas head from his shoulder with his
mouth still dropped open from the sight of Delam’s hands being taken off.
Delam was now on the ground screaming and Xena walked up to the now
handicapped man and pulling her sword as she neared him his eyes went wide.
“ You can’t kill me, I’m helpless to defend myself?” He pleaded.
“ Just like the tens of thousands who were helpless and unaware? At least you
have the benefit of knowing who your killer is, they didn’t, and that to me is
a cowards way. And you know, as former warlord, which I’m sure you know what
that means? I simply have no patiences for cowards or fools, and you
Delam.....are both. So...any last words?”
“ Please don’t kill me?!” Delam begged.
“ Not the words I was looking for, selfish right to your bones. I expected you
to say you were sorry for what you had done, but....it only shows just how
truly evil you are.”
“ I’m sorry!!” Delam screamed, but Xena’s last words were haunting.
“ Too late.” She then plunged her sword through the man’s chest and then
twisted it and then pulled it out as Delam gasped and then died.
Xena then wiped her sword off on the man’s clothes and then resheath it and
went to pick up the stone, but then stopped. She then turned and went out the
vault and seeing one of the guards stirring she grabbed him by his collar and
pulled him into the vault and told him to pick up the stone.
He hesitated at first thinking something bad was going to happen to him if he
touched it, but Xena’s intense gaze told him that something bad would happen
to him if he didn’t, and seeing Delam and Grekas both dead, he picked up the
stone and closed his eyes expecting something terrible to happen to him.
Xena smirked at his actions and then when he realized nothing was happening,
he opened his eyes and looked at her.
“ Go.” Xena commanded and the guard didn’t even blink, he simply begun walking
out of the vault.
When they got to the door of the bedroom Xena stopped him.
“ Now here’s what your going to do. How did your boss get to shore?”
“ His personal helicopter.”
“ Did he call or one of you?”
“ The guards called for it. I fly it when necessary.”
“ Hmm...thanks for the information, that was going to be my next question.
Anyway, I want you to call for it and you will fly me over to the shore, then
you’ll escort me over to talk to someone and then, and this depends on what
your answer is and whether I believe you, whether you live or die. Tell me
what this is?”
“ I don’t know. I think it’s an emerald?”
“ Really? Then why were you afraid to pick it up?”
“ Because I saw how Mr. Sanant and Mr. Grekas had died, and I thought maybe
you were just testing me to see if I would dare to touch it?”
“ Hmm....Call for the helicopter.” Xena ordered.
“ So are you going to let me live?”
“ Depends on how you fly and how you handle the other guards here.”
The guard turned and picked up the phone and called for the helicopter. Then
Xena took the weapons on the unconscious guard, which happened to be a hand
gun.
“ Hmmm, why didn’t you guys use these?” Xena asked out of curiosity, as they
walked to where the helicopter would land.
“ Because we thought we could take you, I mean you are a woman and all, who
would have thought you would be able to beat us?”
“ I would have thought that was the first thought, especially considering how
I had gotten to the island, undetected and all the way up here and into the
chamber and no one knew I was here until I decided to let you know I was, and
then it was too late.” Xena stated with contempt.
“ Well....I guess if I had thought about it, I probably would have tried to
run.”
“ ahhahaha, well at least your honest, although I would have killed you before
you made it to the door.” Xena stated nonchalantly, as they passed by guard
after Guard who simply spared a glance and then went back to guarding.
The guard with Xena didn’t understand why everyone was acting like there was
no problem, but then he realized why? He was carrying the stone towards the
helicopter with a beautiful woman whom they assumed had been with Delam all of
the time, and he would be joining them sooner or later. Delam always had a
woman escorting him to the helicopter.
They arrived at the pad and the guard told the other pilot that he would be
flying Mr. Delam’s friend to the shore and he would come back to get Mr.
Delam.
“ Alright.” The pilot then stepped out of the seat and the guard stepped in
and Xena went in on the other side.
The guard put the Jewel into a pouch and then he lifted off of the pad and
headed for where Xena told him to go. Finally after only a few minutes of
flying, Xena saw Gabrielle and Kiara and Renna all looking up at the copter.
Xena ordered the man to land and they did.
“ Get out.”
The man picked up the jewel and stepping out of the copter, he then was pushed
in the direction Xena wanted him to go, which happen to be towards where the
women were now squinting their eyes to see who had landed.
When Xena had gotten close enough she finally spoke to the women, who were
still trying to see, after she warned the guard once more about not trying
anything.
“ No hello?”
“ Xe...Xena???! XENA!!!!!” The three women yelled as it now was a race between
the three to get to Xena. Xena opened her arms for all three and they all
collided into her, and despite the impact, Xena was only moved front the spot
she had stopped in , only a few paces.
Renna was the first to break the embrace.
“ I’m sorry, I’m just so overjoyed to see your alright.”
“ It’s okay Renna, I could not have done it without your help. “ Xena said as
she pulled the woman back in and hugged all of them.
Finally Xena broke the embrace and let all of the women go. They all had tears
in their eyes.
“ Xena I thought.....?”
“ I know what you thought Kiara, but I couldn’t do it from there. I wanted to
see you one more time before we left for good.”
Kiara wrapped her arms around Xena’s neck and planted a passioned filled kiss
on her that made Xena moan and the man blush with excitement and embarrassment
at the sight of two women kissing so passionately.
Finally Kiara eased back and asked. “ How?”
“ He has the jewel.” Xena pointed to the flushed man.
“ Put it on the ground and leave.” Xena ordered.
The man immediately put the stone on the ground but he watched Xena all the
while and then as he backed away, he continued to watch them.
“ Oh, and If I ever hear you said anything about what happened, and who did
it, then I will come back after you, and you know I can get to you. Also
destroy the video tape of us leaving, clear?”
“ Yes ma’am.” The scared guard answered and then when Xena motioned for him to
go on, he ran to the copter and was in the air heading back within seconds.
Xena then turned back to the women and said, “ it’s time to get this back.
Gabrielle you have all of our things?”
“ Yes.”
“ are you ready?”
“ I think so. Kiara?” Gabrielle started but lost her voice and instead she
just wrapped her arms around the woman and the two hugged for the umpteenth
time.
“ I love you too Gabrielle.” Kiara managed.
Then Kiara turned to Xena and she couldn’t even speak, she just went into Xena
arms and sobbed from the pain she felt as a hole begun forming in her heart at
the lost that was about to take place.
Xena caressed the woman’s back and her head, as she tried to quiet the young
woman’s pain.
“ Shhh....it’ll be okay Kiara, just remember us, like we’ll remember you. I
love you, and this hurts so much to have to leave you.”
“ Then don’t go? Please Xena?”
“ Kiara....” Xena said trying to be strong for the woman, but losing it fast.
Renna saw it with Xena’s pleading eyes, for her to take the woman. Renna
stepped up and slowly taking Kiara into her arms, she spoke to her.
“ Kiara, they have to go, otherwise, you won’t even have this memory of
things, Xena and Gabrielle don’t want to leave you, they just have no choice.
Kiara quieted by the words and then standing up straight to look back at Xena
and Gabrielle. She took a deep calming breath and then managed a smile.
“ Don’t forget me?”
“ NEVER!” Xena Stated with conviction.
“ Then go, you’ve saved the world, no use in messing it up now after all of
this?” Kiara said with as much strength as she could muster.
Xena smiled a bright smile and Kiara returned it to her. Then Kiara picked up
the stone and handed it to Xena. Gabrielle locked her arms in Xena’s and the
moment the stone touched Xena’s hands. All three women exclaimed as Gabrielle
and Xena faded.
“ I love you!”
Then Renna and Kiara were left on the beach alone. Renna walked over to where
Kiara stood shaking like a leaf and wrapping her arms around the woman, Kiara
looked over at her and then leaned on Renna’s shoulder and cried as they
walked back to the car, and left to go home.
The next week was hard on everyone, Kiara was trying not to let her depression
take hold of her, and with Renna’s help it was working, but finally when she
thought she couldn’t hold it back any longer, someone unexpected knocked on
the door.
“ Yes? May i help you?”
“ No, but I can help you, may I come in?”
“ I don’t know you to let you in my house.” Kiara stated factually.
“ But you know Xena and Gabrielle, right?”
“ Yes! Please come in.”
“ Thank you.”
The woman walked inside and casually looked around at Kiara’s home, and it’s
decoration.
“ How do you know Xena and Gabrielle? Are they alright?’
“ Their as well as can be considering all things. Anyway, that’s part of the
reason why I’m here.”
“ My chosen ask me every night to watch over you and help take the pain that
she and especially Xena are experiencing, from their hearts. I couldn’t give
My chosen an answer at the time, not until I checked out a few things with my
sister, Athena, the wise one.”
“ Athena? Then that would make you.....Artemis?!”
“ Yes, good guess, I’m glad you didn’t call me Aphrodite. Anyway, Athena and I
went to talk to Zeus, and after explaining what we discovered to him, he told
us he already knew it, but wanted to see how long it would take one of us to
bring it up to him, plus he wanted to see if any of us really cared about
those we claimed to care about.”
“ What did you discover?”
“ Well before we get to that I have to make sure of a few things.”
“ Okay?”
“ Do you have family here at all?”
“ No, it’s just me.”
“ Do you like your job?”
“ Yes.”
“ Would you be willing to relocate if you had too?”
“ As long as I could help people it wouldn’t matter where, plus the fact it
doesn’t necessarily have to be as a nurse, any thing that helps people feel
good about themselves would be fine for me.” Kiara elaborated.
Artemis smiled at the answer, and then she asked, “ Okay, hypothetically
speaking if you could go anywhere or anytime, you wanted to go, where would
you choose?”
“ To be where Xena and Gabrielle were?”
“ With no regrets?”
“ No...I have no one here, I mean except for Renna’s friendship, but outside
of her, there’s no one.”
“ Well actually Renna is not from here either, she’s a traveller, but anyway,
here’s the deal, you make one request and whatever it is, it’ll be yours.”
“ But the one thing I want, couldn’t happen, because of the time problem.”
“ What is it?”
“ I would ask to be where Xena and Gabrielle are, but....”
“ So be it, you will wake up tomorrow in the time of Xena and Gabrielle and
there you will live until the day you die, and even then, you will go to the
afterlife in that time.”
“ But what about the time problem?”
“ That stopped applying to you the day Gabrielle told you about who they were
and why they were here.”
“ Re....Really? You mean I can be with Xena again, Please don’t let this be a
cruel joke at my expense, I couldn’t take it?”
“ It’s not a joke sweetie, after all you have been through in your young life,
you deserve to be happy, and it’s obvious to all of us that you are happy when
your with Xena?”
“ I am, I am so very happy with her, please, what do I have to do?”
“ The only thing you have to do is wake up tomorrow. Oh, and of course you
will be pointed in the direction where Xena and Gabrielle are, but you’ll have
to find them from there.”
“ Anything, I can’t believe this, thank you Artemis, thank you so much, I will
never forget this.”
“ Your welcome, it’s the least we could do for someone who helped save the
world? Hope to hear from you one day Kiara?”
“ I promise you will. By the way, does Xena and Gabrielle know?”
“ No, we thought it would be a nice surprise.
Artemis then smiled and just as she was fading she said, “ I see why Xena
dreams about you almost daily, your very beautiful. Bye.”
Kiara’s heart was flying as it had never flown before, and she found it hard
to sleep, but some how she managed it, she didn’t want to take any chance that
she would spoil things if she didn’t do what she was told.
The next morning finally came and the moment Kiara opened her eyes, she found
herself in the woods heading for a town of some sort dressed in a peasants
outfit.
“ I can’t believe this.” Kiara then picked up a small stick and using the
pointed end of it, she stuck herself with it, but only enough to make her
yelp, but not enough to break the skin. “ It’s real, Oh my goodness it’s
real!” Kiara exclaimed as she then begun to walk faster towards the town.
By the time Kiara came out of the woods, she was running, she ran all the way
into the town and then she decided it was more prudent to walk from that point
on. Kiara looked around at the different view, and all the people, and their
dress, which now she wore.
Kiara made her way through the town and was happy to see that people weren’t
looking at her strangely, but as if she belonged there. Kiara saw the stands
of merchants selling things, and she was tempted to go and walk through the
area to look at all of the things being sold, but she was more determined to
find Xena and Gabrielle.
Kiara had walked around for a while popping into different places and asking
others if they had seen the two. Finally after hours of searching Kiara was a
little dishearten, but still happy , and also thirsty, she looked down the
street and saw a sign that said, “Inn”
Kiara headed for the inn and then went inside to see where she could get
something to drink.
“ The Tavern.”
“ Thank you.” Kiara then headed for the tavern going inside she looked around
the room and saw people of all sorts, from rough looking men, and women, to
dignified looking ones.
After looking and not seeing any obvious danger, she walked over to the bar
and asked for a drink. The bar keep then placed the drink in front of her and
just as she was about to pay the man with the money she found in her pockets,
a hair hand caught her arm.
“ Excuse you?” Kiara said with surprise and disbelief at the man’s actions.
“ How about you let me pay for that and then you can pay me back later?”
“ Hahaha...hahahaha....hahahaha, I’m sorry.” Kiara laughed as she jerked her
hand free of the man’s and then said in a sarcastic tone. “ That line doesn’t
work for you does it? Because it’s as sorry as you are, then again, maybe it
does, you are at least consistent?”
The man growled at her, but Kiara acted as if she didn’t hear him.
“ Well, maybe next time you’ll come up with something better than a line as
lame as that, anyhow, gotta go, I see a table just opened up.” Kiara then
tossed the bar keep the money and turned and walked away from the man, who now
was being ridiculed by his friends.
Kiara headed for the table she saw and as she did two women were following her
with their eyes.
“ Xena....you know who she reminds me of?”
“ Yes, I know, if I didn’t know better I would think it was her.”
“ Yeah, but we both know that’s not possible?”
“ Yes.” Xena said as she watched the woman for a bit longer.
Xena’s eyes narrowed as she watched her, and then her heartbeat started to
increase, but she didn’t say anything to Gabrielle, but continued to watch the
woman’s delicate handling of her glass of wine that she had ordered.
When Kiara licked her lips with her tongue and then ran her finger over it.
Xena nearly choked on her port.
“ Xena? Are you okay?”
“ Fine, Shhh...I want to hear something.” Xena said as she watched another man
approach Kiara.
“ I guess you told that one brute off, maybe you’ll allow a gentleman to sit
with you?”
“ Hmmm...really? And I suppose your that gentleman?”
“ As a matter of fact.”
“ Well, thank you but I would really prefer to sit here by myself and enjoy my
wine.” Kiara said politely.
The man then tilted his head, but before he rose up he asked her a question.
“ Mind if I ask you a question?”
“ What?”
“ What’s your name?”
“ Why?”
“ Well, next time I see you, I can say hello properly. My name is Atrey, and
yours is?”
Kiara studied the man for a few moments, and then she answered.
“ Kiara.”
“ Well Kiara, it was nice to have met you, now I will leave you to your
thoughts.”
“ You too Atrey, bye.”
“ Goodbye.”
The man then left the table, and Kiara returned to her thoughts.
“ Xena....did you hear her name?”
“ Yes, but it couldn’t be her......” Xena said as she then looked at Gabrielle
with tears forming in her eyes. Gabrielle returned the look, and then taking a
deep breath she put her hands on Xena’s.
“ There’s only one way to find out for sure Xena?”
Xena covered Gabrielle’s hand and a half smile came to her face. Xena then
stood up and walking from the corner of the tavern in the back she came up
behind Kiara’s table and her breathing was rapid, and her eyes narrowed.
“ Kiara?” Xena called.
“ HAAA!!! “ Kiara gasped and then flew up out of her chair to gaze at the
woman who’s indigo eyes were lit with all types of emotions. “ Xena?!! It’s
you right?”
“ Kiara?” Xena asked in confusion as the woman before her could only nod her
head.
“ You didn’t forget me did you?”
“ KIARA!! By The Gods!!” Kiara then went into Xena’s arms and the two held
each other as if they were trying to merge into the other to make sure
everything was real, that they were feeling.
The Tavern was dead silent, they didn’t know whether to applaud, or scoff. So
they remained silent and just watched. Xena then held Kiara out from her and
just looked at her.
“ How?”
“ I’ll tell you later, right now I just want to be held by you.”
“ Well you don’t have to worry about that, you’ll get sick of my holding you.”
“ NEVER!” Kiara said imitating Xena’s words at one time.
Xena smiled and then pulled the woman into her and then lifting up Kiara’s
head, Xena placed a heartfelt kiss of both welcome and renewal on Kiara, and
now the tavern erupted in cheers.
“ Well, I guess we’re a threesome again right?” Gabrielle said as she then was
pulled into Kiara’s arms and the two hugged, and then after they broke their
embrace Xena placed her arms over each of the two women’s shoulder and they
wrapped one of their arms around Xena’s waist.
Then Kiara and Gabrielle looked at each other like they had done once before
when they first surprised Xena with their idea. They then smiled and then
looking up at Xena who was now looking at them with Knitted brows, they both
suddenly kissed Xena on each of her cheeks. Xena actually blushed, when the
two finally removed their lips from her hot cheeks.
Xena heard her name being chanted by the patrons who knew her, which was most.
“ I think it’s time we left?” Xena suggested.
“ And do what?’ Kiara asked sincerely.
“ Oh.....I think I can come up with an idea that will be quite.....Blissful.”
Xena said as she now placed a passionate kiss on Kiara once again and then
breaking it, she turned on Gabrielle and did the same thing.
Xena then let go of the two and a smirk crossed her face as she now had
regained her face as Gabrielle and Kiara were now fully flushed. Xena headed
for the door and just before she went out she called over her shoulder.
“ Coming ladies?”
Both Kiara and Gabrielle snapped out of their revelry, and they caught each
other around the shoulder and headed for the door to catch up with Xena, and
her horse Argo.
“ So, where do we live?” Kiara asked and both Xena and Gabrielle laughed, as
they went down the street, with Kiara stopping every now and then asking
question after question after receiving the answer of ..... “ Everywhere, and
anywhere.”
Xena and Gabrielle continued to laugh, but remained fixed on the idea of not
having any particular place to sleep, but then Xena wrapped her arms over
Kiara’s shoulder and said with a bright loving smile.
“ Does it matter where we live, as long as we’re together?”
Kiara gazed into Xena’s sparkling eyes and she let the thought leave her mind,
and the three women went throughout the land, helping people. But what they
were known for was the extraordinary relationship the three of them shared for
years, without any jealousies ever arising.
Gabrielle and Kiara never made love to each other without Xena being present
and instigating it.
“ The love of three is an amazing thing, if one is willing to comprise.”
“ Your so right Aphrodite, your so right.” Artemis said as she swept her hand
over the screen and the image of the three women disappeared.
