The Bard Challenge #28: You Have Been Chopped

ROOOL #1: ALL entries must include ALL the mandatory components provided for each specific round. There are three for the Appetizer Round, five for the Entrée Round and four for the Dessert Round. There will be one quote included in the count along with pictures of the other items. The quote must be worded in your story exactly as it is given to you. How you interpret the pictures and what part(s) you use is entirely up to you.
See…I'm not totally mean. ;o) There is a lot of leeway here.
For example: if we provided you with a picture of a Granny Smith apple…you could interpret it as 1) an apple or 2) the name Granny Smith or 3) as fruit or 4) as the saying “an apple a day…” or well you get the idea.
CREATIVITY, it does a Bardie good because voters love creativity.
Please underline (your usage of) the required components.
The eighteen additional pictures in our pantry can be used in any of your stories. You may use them in different stories or all in one story. You just cannot use the same item in different stories. One time usage only on the pantry items. Again, how you interpret the pictures is up to you.

ROOOL #2a: All entries must meet the word length requirement for the specific round. Titles and disclaimers are not counted toward the word count.
ROOOL #2b: You must write one canon fandom, one uber (but of a different fandom than the canon one you chose) and one original character story. Which one in which round is for you to decide.
Amazons are always appreciated by OZ but not a requirement. <.g.>
ROOOL #2c: All competing entries will be posted anonymously. However,
please put all identifying info on your entry (bard name/email for
feedback). We will remove it prior to posting and return it after
the voting period. Please include a standard disclaimer when using
fandom characters.
ROOOL #3a: You must send all three stories in at the same time. If you do not send in three stories then you will not be competing. You are welcome to participate and not compete (in any or all rounds). Which brings us to…
ROOOL #3b: If you choose to participate but not
compete in the voting category, your entry/entries will be posted with
your identification on it. Since it is not anonymous, you are
allowed to include any characters that belong to you (from previous
posted stories). Please indicate, clearly on your entry/entries
whether or not you are competing.
ROOOL #4: Please send your entries in MSWord or
equivalent. MSWord will be used to determine the word count. RTF
is preferred. Please let our Munchkins do the coding. It
keeps them out of trouble and off the streets.
ROOOL #5a: If you are competing, please do not reveal your
participation to anyone who has the potential for being a voter.
The only exception being beta readers but please keep the number of beta
readers to a reasonable limit…anything more than three will be
considered a violation of…
ROOOL #5b: Posting any of your entries on any other sites or
lists (private or public) before the end of the contest is a BIG NO
NO. Once the contest is over and the winners are announced, feel
free to post EVERYWHERE,
ROOOL #6: There is no number six.
After all this time, did you really expect one?
Seriously?
ROOOL #7: Please do not stuff the ballot box or lobby for
votes...we at the Academy have gotten very good at identifying this
behavior. We won't publicly embarrass you but we will quietly
eliminate you from the contest.
The Academy folks are everywhere and know everything…we will find out.
ROOOL #8:
The "Roools Committee": the Munchkins and I, reserve the final say on
everything and anything concerning this challenge.

1 WINNER from each round will get a gift certificate from their choice of one of several popular online retailers and a Munchkin designed personalized framed tile commemorating their win. The OVERALL WINNER will also receive those prizes and some extra goodies. They will also be bestowed with the title of Chopped Champion (and all the perks therein associated with that title…assuming we identify some <.g.>).
