Stolen Innocence

As I lay sleeping innocently in my bed
You came creeping with your nefarious intent
And even though you'd always treated me badly
I trusted you as only a little child could
You betrayed my trust on that despicable day
And stole from me that sweet innocence of childhood
You stole not just my innocence, but my self-worth
You changed me from a carefree, loving little girl
Into a distrusting, disillusioned young child
You forever altared the path my life would take
I would never again trust so implicitly
Never again allow physical affection
You stole my life from me with your actions that day
Were you proud of yourself? Did it make you happy?
How ironic if we've BOTH lived a lifetime of guilt
