Unexpected

 

 

Your heart can be broken

when you least expect it.

Some people just get inside;

past your defenses;

friendship developing

before you know it.

Happy times follow;

long conversations,

understanding,

smiles building upon smiles.

The comfort level is high.

Then, with an abruptness

that cuts deep,

nothing.
