This Poem was published in an anthology back in the early 1990s. But it just spoke of Gabrielle in 1st season. Her hero-worship of Xena screamed this poem to me. I hope everyone likes it.

From a distance, I watch you,

Never daring to get near

From a distance, I watch you

I do not mean to stare.

You can encourage me

More than you know,

Simply by saying your usual hello.

I watch the way you walk,

I follow your hand movements,

And listen to your voice,

When you talk.

Every move that you make,

I try to imitate,

Then realize my moves are fake.

I think that you are my friend,

But who really knows in the end.
