Just One Bite

SUMMARY:
A retelling of the episode "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and what might've happened to Xena and Gabrielle afterwards if the ending had turned out very differently.

INTRO:

XENA
Gabrielle, do it.

Just one bite, that was all it took as evil laughter filled the air of the flame-lit cave as a dryad bone fell to the ground. Xena felt the sharp pain of a pair of fangs sinking into the side of her neck. Her body began to tingle all over as she felt the power of the Bacchae beginning to take hold of her. She closed her eyes as the already-turned Bacchae Gabrielle bit down harder on her neck. It was strange after the initial pain of being bitten and her body began undergoing the transformation, Xena began to feel something. Her mind went blank of her initial fear of what might happen as her body seemed to respond on its own to what Gabrielle was doing. In an odd way Xena had found herself actually enjoying the feeling of Gabrielle latched on to her neck. Whether it was the power of the baccie, a more somewhat impassioned and stimulating desire fueled Xena's normal attraction to Gabrielle, or some combination of the two it didn't matter as Xena felt herself sinking deeper under the spell until only evil laughter could be heard echoing through the cave.

Pt. 1

GABRIELLE
Xena? Xena.

Gabrielle nudged the bundle of blankets that appeared to be moving on their own accord.

GABRIELLE
Xena.

Finally, the blankets shifted and were pulled back as Gabrielle saw Xena roll over and open her eyes. She saw Gabrielle's face and quickly grabbed her sword as she sat up, got into a crouched position and immediately went on high alert for any danger as she focused her hearing and eyes to the dark wooded area they were in. As Xena reminded on Alert for some kind of attack she felt a gentle touch on her shoulder.

GABRIELLE
Xena it's okay, no one's here.

Xena looked at Gabrielle for a moment as she then sighed and sat back down on her blanket as she returned her sword to its sheathe. She then looked at Gabrielle through the dark of night as she saw a curious expression on her face.

XENA
Is everything alright?

GABRIELLE
Oh, I'm fine I just got woken up by a certain someone who was having what I think sounded like a rather fun dream.

Xena breathed a sigh of relief as she chuckled a little at the misunderstanding.

XENA
Oh is that all? Sorry about that. I didn't mean to wake you.

Xena layed back and patted the spot next to her for Gabrielle to come closer. Gabrielle smiled as she layed down and cuddled up with Xena and rested her head on Xena's chest and felt Xena put an arm around her. As the two settled back down Gabrielle idly ran her fingertips along Xena's leather-covered stomach and she couldn't help but wonder what exactly it was that Xena had been dreaming about. Although she already suspected that it involved Xena and herself likely doing something naughty. But still, she just couldn't help but ask.

GABRIELLE
So that must've been some dream to get you making the sounds I heard you making.

Xena raised her head and looked at Gabrielle.

XENA
(Thinking to herself) Damn, what exactly did she hear from that dream?
(playing innocent) What are you talking about?

Gabrielle smiled.

GABRIELLE
Oh come on Xena I think we've been together long enough for me to recognize your more impassioned sounds when I hear them.

XENA
You must've heard something else because I wasn't having one of those dreams.

Xena lowered her head again and closed her eyes to go back to sleep. But Gabrielle knew that Xena was lying. Though the question was why? It wasn't as though she was shy when it came to sex, and had freely admitted having dreams about her and Gabrielle being together, and had even sometimes vocalized some of those dreams completely unprompted just to try and embarrass and tease Gabrielle in some social situations with their more well-known acquaintances. So with that thought Gabrielle found it very odd that Xena was being coy and denying such a thing now. Which was why she decided to press the otherwise inconsequential issue.

GABRIELLE
(Teasing tone) Oh really? Are you sure you weren't having a particularly fun dream about you and a certain bard that's lying right next to you?

Xena made an annoyed sigh as she didn't bother to open her eyes as she spoke.

XENA
(Slightly annoyed tone) Yes Gabrielle I'm sure that I wasn't having a sex dream about us. Now if you don't mind I'd like to go back to sleep. You know that we have to be up early tomorrow, so I suggest you get to sleep too.

Gabrielle looked at Xena and was now even more curious about Xena's insisted denial of what Gabrielle knew she heard. When she woke up she specifically heard Xena make a very erotic moan which Gabrielle would've let go if Xena hadn't kept going making it so Gabrielle was unable to get back to sleep without waking her to stop the noise. But then Gabrielle thought of something that she hadn't before and didn't particularly want to. After all, it was just a dream, it wasn't like it really mattered. But still, if Xena was adamantly denying it maybe there was a reason for it. Like maybe Xena was having an erotic dream about someone else that wasn't Gabrielle. Gabrielle tried to push aside the thought as it wasn't as though Xena could control what she dreamt about, but still, a very small spark of jealousy flicked in Gabrielle's heart which she found herself unable to ignore as she thought of all the possibilities for other partners that Xena could've been dreaming about instead of her. Feeling herself being stared at Xena opened her eyes and saw Gabrielle staring down at her with a very unhappy look on her face.

GABRIELLE
(Irritated tone) So who was it?

XENA
Huh?

GABRIELLE
(Irritated tone) Borias? Lo ma? If you say something like Ares we're gonna have to have a serious talk, Xena.

XENA
What in Hades are you talking about Gabrielle?

GABRIELLE
The dream you insist you didn't have. It obviously wasn't about me otherwise you wouldn't be afraid to admit it. So tell me Xena who was it?

XENA
(Irritated tone) Oh for the love of...

Xena sat up in frustration as she gave Gabrielle a very unhappy look.

XENA
(Irritated tone) Alright, Gabrielle you wanna know what I was dreaming about fine I tell you. It was us. There are you happy?

GABRIELLE
(Irritated tone) No, because there's obviously more to it otherwise you would've just said that's what it was before. So I'm not buying it, Xena. What was your dream really about?

XENA
(Irritated tone) Who cares it was just a damn dream. What does it matter what it was about?

GABRIELLE
(Irritated tone) Obviously, you think it matters if you don't wanna tell me. So what was it more than just a dream? A fantasy? Someone else you want besides me. Because Xena I swear I...

Tired and just wanting this argument to end Xena blurted out what she had been dreaming about before she even realized what she was saying.

XENA
(Angry tone) It was about that night in Baccas's cave alright! There are you happy?!

Gabrielle looked down knowing that was something that Xena wouldn't lie about.

GABRIELLE
(Disheartened tone) ...oh that's what it was.

Gabrielle layed back down as she looked up at the night sky quietly. Xena felt every ounce of frustration that she had just been feeling disappear as she saw the saddened look in Gabrielle's eyes.

XENA
(Soft tone) Gabrielle.

Gabrielle didn't look at her.

GABRIELLE
I'm sorry I shouldn't have pushed you like that.

Xena sighed.

XENA
(Soft tone) Gabrielle come here.

Xena moved and sat facing Gabrielle as she lifted Gabrielle's head and rested it in her lap as she lovingly brushed back Gabrielle's long strawberry blonde hair.

XENA
I'm sorry I snapped at you like that. I know this has been hard on you. That's why I didn't wanna tell you about my dream.

Gabrielle looked into Xena's eyes which were full of love and compassion for her but Gabrielle looked away as she saw something else that was also there now because of her..

GABRIELLE
I still don't get why you did it, Xena. It didn't have to be like this. If it wasn't for me then.

Gabrielle felt Xena's gentle hand turn her face back towards her.

XENA
No Gabrielle how many times do I need to tell you that none of this is your fault.

GABRIELLE
But if I hadn't gotten drawn in by those Baccie then I wouldn't have been... And you... Xena, it's my fault that we're like this. I...

XENA
Gabrielle no, with everything that was happening no one can blame you for what happened. Besides I told you to do it.

Xena sighed as she looked up at the night sky.

XENA
I don't think anyone could've imagined what happened that night and everything that's happened since.

pt.2

Gabrielle was asleep as later that night Xena found herself unable to get back to sleep after her earlier dream. She looked over at Gabrielle and brushed a few stray hairs from her sleeping bard's face as she gave a half-hearted smile. Finally, with a sigh, Xena got up from her place on the blanket-covered ground beside Gabrielle and walked over to Argo who was standing nearby. The mare snorted happily as Xena came over and patted her neck while scratching her snout.

XENA
Can't sleep either huh girl?

Argo snorted again in response.

XENA
I know it's been pretty weird lately... well weirder than normal anyway.
(Sighing) A lot weirder.
But I'm gonna do something about it.

Xena sighed once again as she felt her stomach growl from hunger.

XENA
I have to. We can't keep going on like this.

Xena then rummaged through the saddle bag and pulled out a small item. She looked at the item which was a small dark bottle and then gave Argo one more pat as she returned to her spot near Gabrielle. Before sitting back down Xena grabbed Gabrielle's bag and sat it beside her as she plopped down on her blanket. Xena then placed the bottle down as she opened Gabrielle's bag and pulled out a few of her scrolls. She scanned a couple before finding the one that she was looking for and put the rest neatly back in the bag. Feeling her stomach growl again Xena herself growled in annoyance as she tried to control the feeling of an undeniable craving that she had been living with for quite some time now. She then picked up the small bottle and looked at it.

XENA
(Thinking to herself angrily) I've conquered lands, fought against God's, beaten death itself. But I can't overcome this? Whoever's idea of a sick joke this whole thing is can laugh their way right onto the end of my sword.

Hearing her stomach again Xena uncorked the bottle and drank a large amount of its contents. It was warm and thick as Xena felt it sliding down her throat. For a moment she found herself getting lost in the moment as she savored the exquisite taste before coming back to her senses and forcefully pulling the bottle from her lips. Xena huffed as she caught her breath and wiped the bit of liquid from her mouth with the back of her hand as she looked at the bottle and saw that she had consumed much more of its contents than she had consciously wanted to.

XENA
(Thinking to herself) Damn it. I should be able to control this better. If I don't we'll never get out of this mess. And I refuse to allow Gabrielle to be forced to live like this. There has to be answers. A way out of this nightmare. There just has to be.

Xena replaced the cork into the now mostly empty bottle and set it down as she picked up Gabrielle's scroll, unrolled it, and began reading

----- GABRIELLE'S SCROLL / FLASHBACK -----

GABRIELLE
What did he say?

XENA
Three more girls from the neighboring village have been kidnapped.

GABRIELLE
That makes how many now?

XENA
In total, six.

The two walked through the dreary and foggy woods as they tried to wrap their heads around the odd mystery that they had unexpectedly stumbled across.

GABRIELLE
Who would do something like this?

As they walked Xena's superhuman senses picked up that something was amiss as she stopped walking with Argo and shushed Gabrielle.

XENA
You hear that?

Gabrielle stopped and listened for a moment.

GABRIELLE
I don't hear anything.

Xena looked around at their surroundings as all of her instincts told her that something was wrong.

XENA
Exactly. This is the Bacchae forest.

GABRIELLE
You mean the place where Bacchus the god of wine and his followers that are known as Bacchae are said to roam?

XENA
Yes.

Gabrielle focused her attention on listening again for a moment before looking at Xena.

GABRIELLE
But wait a minute I don't hear any music. Shouldn't we be hearing Orpheus? His music is supposed to tame the Bacchae.

XENA
Yes. And the fact that we don't means these woods aren't safe.

Gabrielle looked at Xena.

GABRIELLE
Do you think the Bacchae took those girls?

XENA
Not sure but I fully intend to find out. Come on.

Xena began walking a bit quicker as Gabrielle followed close behind. The pair continued through the forest as Gabrielle tried to figure out what exactly they were dealing with.

GABRIELLE
Do you think the stories that people tell about the Bacchae are true?

XENA
Some. Why what've you heard?

GABRIELLE
Well, they say that a single bite from a Bacchae can turn a young, innocent woman into a wild, soulless creature, whose allegiance is only to Bacchus.

XENA
Sounds about right compared to what I've heard.

GABRIELLE
And, once bitten, she's then lured into his lair to drink his blood. And if she does, there's no way to save her. She becomes a Bacchae forever. I've also heard that Bacchae women have the ability to take on a variety of forms. With some just roaming the forest following their unquenchable thirst for blood. And when they find a target they chase them relentlessly until they finally corner them and tear their victim limb from limb.

XENA
(Sarcasm) Fun.
Where did you hear that story anyway?

Gabrielle shrugged.

GABRIELLE
Just one of those stories that got passed around I guess. But, if you ask me, I think the story's exaggerated. Some people in my village would tell it to the children to give them a good scare.

Xena snickered.

XENA
(Sarcasm) And people call me awful.

Suddenly both Xena and Gabrielle heard a terrified scream. As they turned towards the sound, Gabrielle was knocked to the ground as a frantically running Joxer rushed by in an obvious panic with several wolves chasing after him. Quickly Xena grabbed her whip from Argo's saddle as she told the mare to get somewhere safe. Argo ran off as Xena and Gabrielle saw Joxer trying to escape the animals that were pursuing him. Xena put a protective arm in front of Gabrielle as she stepped in front of her

XENA
Stay behind me.

GABRIELLE
You don't have to tell me twice.

Xena unrolled her whip and it cracked as she swung it to keep the wolves at bay. Meanwhile, Joxer had scurried partway up a tree with his arms and legs wrapped around the truck as he shouted at the creatures that were growling and jumping at him from the ground.

JOXER
Dumb mutt! And you too! Get outta here! Mister Mean Dog! Mister Nip Me in the...

As Joxer shouted at the wolves one of them managed to jump high enough and got a firm grip on Joxer as it sunk its teeth into his butt. Joxer let out a painful high-pitched yelp as the wolf bit down harder.

JOXER
Xena! Help! Get it off, get it off!

Xena was about to step in when the wolf suddenly released Joxer as it and the others ran off without warning. Xena and Gabrielle stood and watched them disappear into the woods before looking at each other with somewhat confused expressions.

JOXER
Yeah get out of here and don't come back.

Gabrielle looked at Joxer as he climbed back down the tree and made his way over to her and Xena.

GABRIELLE
Are you all right?

JOXER
(Lying) Me? Oh yeah, I'm never better.

Gabrielle and Xena noticed Joxer wince slightly as he rubbed the now tender area where the wolf had bit him.

JOXER
(Lying) You see, the secret to defeating a wolf pack is to wear 'em down. I had those mongrels right where I wanted 'em.

Seeing that he clearly wasn't seriously injured Xena decided to ignore the obvious lie.

XENA
Uh-huh. So what are you doing around here anyway?

Joxer smiled a little as he stood up straight a puffed out his chest slightly.

JOXER
A mission.

GABRIELLE
A mission?

JOXER
That's right a mission... To save the world.

Joxer took off the bag that he had slug over his shoulder and held it out to Xena.

JOXER
A package, from Orpheus to Xena.

With a curious expression, Xena accepted the bag as she looked at it for a moment unsure of why the well-known bard would be sending her a package.

XENA
Orpheus?

Gabrielle looked at the bag in Xena's hand.

GABRIELLE
What is it?

JOXER
It speaks for itself.

Not paying too much attention to the cryptic statement and without looking inside Xena reached into the bag and found something that she grabbed onto and then proceeded to retrieve from the bag. A scream rang through the air as Gabrielle couldn't believe what she was seeing.

GABRIELLE
(Horrified tone) Dear gods! Is that a human head?!

pt.3

A couple of screams rang out as Xena held a human head that she had just pulled out of the bag that Joxer had given her. She held it up by a fist full of hair as the severed head somehow yelled.

JOXER
Hey!

Joxer reached out and took the yelling head from Xena and held it under his arm.

JOXER
Never pick him up by his hair.

Joxer fiddled with the head's hair for a moment.

JOXER
And he parts it in the middle.

Xena looked at the head as she recognized the face.

XENA
Orpheus?

The head looked at Xena.

ORPHEUS
Hey Xena.

Gabrielle looked at the head for a moment unable to believe that she was looking at the renowned bard Orpheus. Or what appeared to be left of him anyway. Although it didn't surprise her that he and Xena apparently knew each other. She was just glad that for once it was someone who didn't want Xena or her dead for one reason or another. Gabrielle ignored her thoughts on the subject for the moment as she focused on the current situation that they found themselves in as she and Xena spoke to Orpheus.

XENA
Bacchus did this to you, didn't he?

ORPHEUS
I thought you'd recognize his handiwork. Since we last met, I've dedicated my life to stopping Bacchus. For a long time, my music worked. But now, he's cursed me. He took my body, but left me as just a head so I could see and hear all the evil he brings to the world. And now as long as Bacchus lives on Earth, I will live in agony.

GABRIELLE
So it's been Bacchus that's been taking those girls.

ORPHEUS
Yes, and tomorrow night he'll turn them into full-fledged Bacchae.

Xena folded her arms across her chest as she looked at Orpheus and sighed.

XENA
And you want my help.

ORPHEUS
Look given our history I've hated you for a long time, Xena. And believe me, you're the last person I'd ask for a favor. But you're the only person who knows Bacchus well enough to do the job so here we are.

XENA
Tell me you still have your lyre.

ORPHEUS
Thankfully yes. I've kept it hidden in town with my friend, Mellotus. He can play it while I sing.

XENA
That can work but knowing Bacchus, it won't be safe for long. Come on.

Xena began to walk away but stopped when Orpheus called out to her.

ORPHEUS
Not so fast, Xena. I want to remind you that innocent lives are at stake here. So maybe this time you'll be more careful.

Xena pushed aside the memories of what happened the last time her, Orpheus, and Bacchas' paths all crossed as she looked at Joxer.

XENA
Do me a favor and find a way to make him presentable, then we can leave.

Xena and Gabrielle walked away as Joxer looked at the head in his arms.

JOXER
Wait a minute. What did she mean, make you presentable?

Orpheus gave Joxer a blank stare in disbelief that he had to explain why walking around with a talking severed head was not the best idea.

ORPHEUS
(Sarcasm) She doesn't want me to look like you.

Once Joxer realized what Xena meant he took Orpheus to try and disguise him to look at least somewhat normal as Xena and Gabrielle sat waiting for them to get back.

GABRIELLE
What was that all about?

XENA
A long time ago my army fought Bacchus. And on the final day of the battle, an innocent woman got caught between my army and his. The fighting was so intense that there was no way we could protect her, and she was killed. I'm almost certain that it was Bacchus who killed her.

Xena sighed as she looked out into the distance for a moment.

XENA
But still, Orpheus always blamed us both.

GABRIELLE
Who was she?

Xena returned her focus to Gabrielle who stood beside her leaning slightly on her staff.

XENA
Orpheus' wife.

Meanwhile, deep within a dimly lit cave, a number of wolves strolled inside a large corridor. After a moment the animals gradually shifted and changed shape as they grew and rose to stand upright on two legs instead of four. Then the rest of their bodies began to morph into a completely different shape as they changed from wolves into women. They then stood before a large throne-like chair as an imposing figure looked at them.

?
Did you bring me the head of Orpheus?

One of the women spoke to the figure

Woman
No master Bacchus. He got away

The God scowled angrily as he looked at the women that he had changed into his loyal Bacchae.

BACCHUS
You fools! How could you let this happen?!

BACCHAE
He and his idiot companion were rescued... by Xena.

With the mention of Xena's name, Bacchus smiled an evil grin.

BACCHUS
Ah yes, Xena. It's been far too long. She must've taken Orpheus back to retrieve the lyre.

Bacchus stood from his seat as he began moving through the cave.

BACCHUS
Call the others. I have a little job for you.

Bacchus' evil laughter echoed through the cave as a large amount of his Bacchae began coming to him both in their human and wolf forms all cackling and howling as Bacchus set his plan for finally getting rid of Xena in motion.

TO BE CONTINUED....

pt.4

Night had fallen as Xena, Gabrielle, Joxer, and Orpheus arrived outside a village. Xena led Argo by the reigns as she, Gabrielle, and Joxer walked with Orpheus's head on a scarecrow body that they had seated in Argo's saddle. The foursome could hear music being played within the village as a number of people could be seen heading towards the upbeat sounds.

GABRIELLE
A festival. Looks like fun.

JOXER
Yeah, every year the villagers have a festival to scare away the Bacchae. They have a prize for best costume, too.

Joxer smiled as he motioned towards Orpheus.

JOXER
(Joking) Guess we know who's winning this year.

Orpheus gave him a blank and unamused glance.

ORPHEUS
(Sarcasm) Ha-ha, Very funny.

Gabrielle couldn't help but smirk at the comment as Xena just ignored the whole exchange and led the group into the village proper. Moving through the people, the group found their way to Orpheus' friend Mellotus' home. After Joxer got Orpheus down from Argo's saddle, Xena knocked on the door. After getting no reply, she slowly opened the door as Orpheus called out to his friend.

ORPHEUS
Mellotus?

Not seeing anyone as the group entered the small house, Orpheus told the others that the man might be in the back room and didn't hear them knock or enter. So with Xena taking the lead, they moved across the room they were in and Xena opened the door on the other side of the room. And that was when they saw a truly terrible sight.

ORPHEUS
Mellotus, no!

The four of them remained motionless for a moment as they saw Mellotus with a rope around his neck hanging from a beam on the ceiling and clearly dead. Although it appeared that this death was self-inflicted, Xena's instincts told her otherwise.

XENA
The Bacchae did this.

ORPHEUS
We're too late, they've taken the lyre.

XENA
Damn it.

Xena turned to leave as Gabrielle began to follow.

GABRIELLE
Xena wait up, I'm coming with you.

Xena stopped and looked at Gabrielle.

XENA
No Gabrielle, I need you to stay here and protect Orpheus. Without him, we don't stand a chance.

Gabrielle gave a nod and Xena left the group. It was a little later as Gabrielle stood outside, overhearing Joxer and Orpheus bantering as Orpheus scolded Joxer for trying to play one of his instruments. She idly looked around as she waited for Xena to get back and spotted a group of women dancing a little in the distance as she could faintly hear the music from there. As she watched, another small group of women walked by her as they seemed to be heading towards the music. Curious as to what was going on, Gabrielle popped into the doorway.

GABRIELLE
Hey, there's something I wanna check out quick. I'll be right back.

JOXER
Wait, where are you going?

GABRIELLE
Just stay here.

Before Joxer could object, Gabrielle left. She followed the music and the other women as she soon found herself at what she assumed was the heart of the festival that was going on. There was music and dancing. It looked to be a very festive gathering aa aside from the music, Gabrielle heard a woman's voice beginning to sing.

SINGER
🎵 The moon is up and there's a chill tonight.
Come on and dance away the growing fright.
Wave your hands in the air like you just don't care.
Want to get with the rhythm 'til the morning light.
Used to think that I liked being all alone,
But now I'm feeling kind of warm, like it's nice to be.
And should have known better than to want to be 'lone,
But the beat is so strong I got ta-take it on.
Ah come on, ah, come on, ah, do it with me now.
Ah come on, ah, come on, do it with me now.
Ah come on, ah, come on, do it with me.
If you want my love, ya gotta drink da blood.
I want ta dance with you; I want you right next to me. 🎵

As the song continued, Gabrielle saw two women dancing together. She found herself strangely mesmerized by their movements, as their bodies seemed to flow effortlessly with the beat of the music. Feeling drawn towards them, without thinking, Gabrielle made her way through the others around her as she joined the pair in their dance as the song continued around them.

SINGER
🎵I want your soul, and I'll give you what you need to be.
Feel the music; sniff your hair.
I'll keep you warm against the cold night air.
Just one kiss is what you need right now.
Just one kiss and I will show you how.
Just one kiss is what you need tonight.
To go dancing with the devil by the pale moonlight.
Ah come on, ah, come on, ah, do it with me now.
Ah come on, ah, come on, do it with me now.
Ah come on, ah, come on, do it with me.
If you want my love, ya gotta drink da blood.
Ah come on, ah, come on, ah, do it with me now.
Ah come on, ah, come on, do it with me now.
Ah come on, ah, come on, do it with me.
If you want my love, ya gotta drink da blood.🎵

As Gabrielle lost herself in the atmosphere as elsewhere, a couple of thieves were speaking to a couple of women who were holding a golden lyre.

THIEF 1
Hey there ladies. You look like you could use a little help.

THIEF 2
Yeah, that hunk of gold looks much too heavy for pretty things like you to carry on your own.

One of the women smiled as she beckoned the men closer.

WOMAN 1
(Alurring tone) My hero. Such big strong men and cute too. What would we have done if you two hadn't come along to help us?

WOMAN 2
(Alurring tone) Yes, so why don't you come closer, and we'll let you have it.

One of the thieves smiled as they both began to come closer to the women

THIEF 1
(Sinister tone) Oh, that's not all you'll let me have.

With dark intentions, the thieves were about to grab the women when they suddenly saw the women transform into wolves. Leaving the thieves very confused, as they didn't know that this was the giveaway that these were no normal women, but that they were actually Bacchae.

THIEF 2
What the...

Before he could finish, the wolf forms of the Bacchae lunged at both men as they sunk their sharp teeth into their flesh. The men screamed in terror and agony as their flesh was viciously torn from their bodies and claws ripped open their skin as they tried to fight off the Bacchae. But the Bacchae were relentless as they followed their bloodlust. Screams of horror rang out as the thieves found themselves unable to fend off the bloodthirsty creatures. One of the Baccie tackled one of the thieves to the ground and clamped her teeth down on the man's throat as she then tore it open, brutally killing the thief in the process. The other thief screamed as the second Bacchae brought him down and used her teeth and claws to rip him open and turn him into a bloodied heap of human remains.

?
Hey girls, sorry to break up the party.

The transformed Bacchae looked over to see Xena with her sword drawn as she quickly surveyed the carnage on the scene.

XENA
So do you wanna make the first move or should I?
