Caution: Under Construction, Part 39

Keefer fidgeted restlessly in the den, unable to find a comfortable position as she waited for Sheridan and her brother to finish their tasks. She alternated between staring blankly at the television and conjuring up images of her lover in various compromising positions. Most of the images were of actual instances, some of which were more recent and they gave Keefer curling feelings in her stomach. She never knew her brain could work that way; it seemed that all she had to do was look away from the TV screen and a vision of Sheridan presented itself.
At first, she was a little uncomfortable with the way she was thinking, but as the time went on, she got lost in the daydreams and started to really enjoy them. She had never behaved like this before meeting her blonde lover. In fact, she started thinking this way after the day they met. That very night after inspecting the construction site, she began undressing Sheridan in her dreams.
Keefer paused from her thoughts and sighed out loud. She glanced over at Fifi, who was rubbing her newly cleaned, damp body on the side of the futon. She never got the chance to bathe the dog properly the previous night and thisİhad been the perfect opportunity to do so. It had taken her mind off of Sheridan for the time being, but now that she was in the quiet of the den, her mind went into overdrive.
**********************
Sheridan stood back with her hands on her hips and gave the closet one last look. "I think that's all she wrote, Steven."
"I just gotta vacuum and we're done," he said, standing next to his sister and smiling proudly.
"I'll vacuum... I made most of the mess. Go pull up the plastic," Sheridan instructed and went in search of the vacuum.
**************************
Keefer heard the machine going and got a tingle of excitement, knowing the job was completed. Her mouth watered at the thought of finally having Sheridan to herself. Her eyes narrowed as another image of her girlfriend -- naked, face down on the bed -- assaulted her. "Oh yeah, definitely have to explore the back," she mumbled to herself.
******************************
Steven gestured from the doorway, trying to get Sheridan's attention over the noise of the vacuum.
The blonde turned off the machine and raised an eyebrow.
"Phil's here. Want me to start loading up the trash?"
"I'll help him, you finish vacuuming, okay?"
"No problem, Sher."
The blonde stomped her feet on the bedroom rug before walking into the living room. Phil was standing in the front doorway, a cup of coffee in his hands.
"I thought you could use a cup," he said, handing the coffee to Sheridan.
"Thanks! Hey, I appreciate this, I wasn't about to start getting a dumpster," she said, tearing open the little drink flap on the lid.
"Don't worry, it's nothing," Phil shrugged to make his point and hefted a trash bag into the back of his truck.
"At least let me help," Sheridan complained and grabbed for a bag.
"Fuck that, go drink your coffee. We're having a barbecue tonight; all the guys will be there, why don't you come?"
"I dunno..." Sheridan furrowed her brows and looked towards the den.
"She's invited, asshole! Invite the girls, too, its gonna be the shit."
"Yeah? I can invite the girls, too?" Sheridan perked up. Steven appeared next to her and she offered him some coffee.
"Hey, bud, wanna come to a barbecue tonight?" Phil asked Steven.
"Are you gonna be there?" he asked his sister, after taking a drink.
"Well... I guess so," Sheridan said a little uncertainly.
"COOL! Yeah! I gotta go home and shower first. Tell Pop, will ya, Sher? Tell him you'll be there, too. You have to take me home, is that okay? You and Keefer I mean. She's coming, too, right?"
"Yeah," the blonde said with a worried look. Steven was very excited about the barbecue; she couldn't say no now. Sheridan looked hesitantly towards the den and grimaced. Keefer's gonna kill me, she thought nervously. "Um, you guys finish up out here," Sheridan bit her top lip. "Give me a minute, okay?"
"No problem," Phil said with a conspiratorial wink. "Take your time."
"Yeah." Oh boy.
İ*******************************
Keefer looked to the door as it opened, she was all fired up and ready for Sheridan to get within reaching distance and was surprised when her lover stood a few feet away with a very guilty look on her face. Her eyes narrowed. "What did you do?" she asked.
"Uhm. You see..." Sheridan got closer to her lover and kneeled between her legs, "well... Philly's having a barbecue tonight, and I sorta said we'd go without asking you first."
Keefer blew out a breath. Her plans for this evening shot to hell. "Really," she said then pursed her lips in annoyance.
"I'm sorry, but once Steven heard, he was so excited and I couldn't say no," the blonde hung her head and looked ashamed.
Keefer didn't know whether to clap at her lover's performance or kiss her senseless for being such a mushball. She lifted Sheridan's head up and looked in her eyes. "I had major plans for you, Sher."
"God... I know," Sheridan groaned pitifully and closed her eyes.
Keefer shook her head. Sheridan was just as tortured as she was -- no sense in punishing her for it. She leaned forward and captured the blonde's lips.
Green eyes popped open in surprise. The last thing she expected was a kiss. Feeling as if she were forgiven, she slid her arms around her lover and sighed happily into the kiss.
Mmm... coffee... Keefer thought briefly, and then groaned quietly as the strong arms surrounded her. She really had plans, and her crotch picked that moment to remind her. She thrust her tongue into Sheridan's mouth and suddenly dug her fingers into the blonde's biceps, knowing that would turn her on completely. A little torture doesn't hurt...
"Mmm..." Sheridan moaned, climbing up to straddle Keefer's lap, never breaking the delicious kiss.
Keefer dropped her hands to her lover's ass and pulled the blonde tightly against her, making sure Sheridan's crotch made contact with her body. The following growl made her own heightened arousal worth the action.
Sheridan broke the kiss and ground herself into Keefer. "Fuck, baby, you got me all hot and bothered now."
"Too bad we have to go to that barbecue." Keefer said with mock pity.
Sheridan's eyebrows lifted in surprise. "You're doing this on purpose... you're torturing me!" she said as she feigned shock.
"You got that right. Are you all horny now?"
"Do you really have to ask?" the construction worker replied with another hip thrust.
"Good, now you're in the same boat as I am," Keefer said cockily. "Time for a shower; we have to go to a barbecue," she added sarcastically.
Sheridan climbed off her lover's lap. "Are you really mad at me?" she asked nervously.
Keefer shook her head and blew out a breath, "No, I'm not mad, I'm just frustrated, and annoyed. I really had plans for tonight. Okay, they weren't terribly pressing plans, they can wait, but it doesn't make it any less legitimate because my intentions were to ravish every square inch of you."
"I know, I really should have asked. Now I feel awful," Sheridan frowned.
Keefer disliked that expression on her lover's sexy face, but pressed on anyway. "Well, I know you don't want to hear me say it, but good. It's not only me who loses out," she said with a sly grin. When Sheridan groaned, Keefer felt justified. "Seriously, Sher, it's not the end of the world. I was just trying to make sure you don't do that again."
Sheridan was relieved and it showed.
"I'm really not mad," Keefer added with a wink. "In fact, I have a sudden urge for barbecue."
Sheridan smiled, "I'll go tell them we're coming. I first have to drive Steven to my house to pick up his things, feed and walk the dogs, then get him home to shower and change. I'll just shower there, too, at the same time, then shoot back here and pick you up, okay?"
"Sounds like a plan," Keefer said with a nod. "Drive carefully. I know you're in a hurry."
"Don't you worry any, I intend on being in one piece for when we get home later."
Keefer waved her hand at her lover, "Go, hurry up."
"Oh! I'm inviting the girls, too!" Sheridan remembered, and then paused in thought for a second. "Keef, this is okay with you, isn't it? I mean meeting everyone at once... I didn't overstep... I mean..."
"I'm nervous, very nervous, but I want to meet your friends. You didn't overstep, but I would appreciate it if you asked me next time. I was used to being dictated to in the past, but I kinda like having the freedom of choice you usually give me."
Sheridan quickly closed the distance between them and hugged her lover, "Fuck, Keef... I'm sorry. I pulled a Danni, didn't I?"
"Never compare yourself to her. Come on, it's no big deal. Get going so I can get into the shower," Keefer said honestly.
"You sure you're okay?" the blonde asked from Keefer's chest.
The tall woman chuckled, "I'm horny, I smell like wet dog and I'm really hungry. Other than that..."
Sheridan looked up into endless blue eyes, "I love you, Keef. You know that, don't you?"
Keefer kissed Sheridan lightly on the lips. "I know. And I love you, too. That's why I'm not mad -- now go," she said with a genuine smile.
Sheridan grinned happily and backed out of the room so she wouldn't miss a second of that beautiful smile.
******************************
Keefer frowned once Sheridan left the room and sat back down on the futon. She really was a little ticked, but Sheridan was apologetic and knew she had done the wrong thing right from the get go. Keefer didn't want to hold a grudge, especially against her girlfriend. My girlfriend. My sexy, muscular, hot... The brunette groaned and held her head in her hands. I can't even stay mad for a little while, she complained to herself. Not that she wanted to stay mad at Sheridan, but she had really wanted to prove her point, which she thought she did well. Danni did these things thoughtlessly and without regard for Keefer's feelings; Sheridan only did it because she really didn't want to let her brother down. There's a big difference there, Keef, let it go. She knew what she did was wrong.
The tall woman stood up and began to think about the impending get together. Nervous jitters swam around in her stomach at the thought of being surrounded by all of Sheridan's friends and acquaintances. Her lover was bound to leave her alone at some point to mingle and cut loose, and the idea terrified Keefer. She took a deep breath and pulled out the confidence she had used when she snuck into the club to spy on Sheridan. It took all she had that night, but she managed it and drew from that experience to gather the courage to face everyone. A small part of her suddenly worried that Sheridan might have bragged about their private moments and her legs felt weak, but then waved that thought out of her mind. No, I refuse to believe that she could have disrespected me like that, Keefer grimaced at that sudden thought. God, Danni really screwed me up, didn't she? Time to throw that garbage out. The brunette walked into the bathroom, still distracted by her train of thought and stared at herself in the mirror. No more Danni./I> Period, she thought confidently. No sooner had she blinked a few times, Danni's laughing face taunted her mind and she narrowed her eyes at the image. "Get out, you don't belong here anymore," she ground out insistently through gritted teeth. A little narrowing of the eyes and Danni's image blew up in a puff of smoke and Keefer smirked cockily to her reflection. "And stay out."
********************
Sheridan drove Steven to her house, walked the dogs quickly, grabbed their necessary belongings and headed out to their father's house. At first, he was hesitant to allow Steven to stay out to all hours, but his son's begging and his daughter's reassurance convinced him to relent. The two siblings showered at the same time, Steven upstairs and Sheridan downstairs, both having some sort of unspoken race. When Steven bolted down the stairs, still tucking his shirt into his jeans, Mr. Landers laughed out loud.
"I'm finished!" he yelled as he ran past the bathroom.
Sheridan opened the door and a puff of steam escaped. She stuck her head out with her toothbrush in her mouth and grinned. "Ah, but did you brush your teeth?" Steven furrowed his brows and pouted as he stomped back up the stairs. Sheridan shook her ass in triumph.
"Why do you have to do that to him, Sher?"
The blonde spit out toothpaste and rinsed her mouth out. "Aw, Pop, he knows I'm just fucking with him."
Mr. Landers watched his daughter put on her boots and pursed his lips, "He loves to be with you and all you do is tease him."
"That's so not true. He loves to be around me cuz I treat him like one of the guys," Sheridan replied defensively.
"Oh, Christ, he'll be drinking, smoking and swearing by ten o'clock tonight."
Sheridan had the good sense to look guilty. "No he won't," she replied in a childlike voice.
"I know you love him, Sher, just watch what you do around him. He worships you."
Sheridan felt awkward. "Oh please, Pop, worship?"
"Don't tell me you don't know that," the older man said seriously.
"I know he sorta looks up to me and stuff," she mumbled uncomfortably.
"Well, just be careful, and don't tease him so much."
"You know, I really only tease him when we're home. It must be the house," Sheridan joked.
"Must be, because whenever you two are together here, you both revert back to pre-school behavior," he smiled and rubbed his daughter's back lovingly.
"I'll watch him. I always take good care of him," the blonde hugged him and waited for her brother. "Hey, how many teeth do you have?" she shouted.
Steven came downstairs with a bounce to his step. "I put on cologne," he stuck his tongue out. "Did you?" he teased, waving the scent from his neck at Sheridan.
"Nope," she frowned, "I didn't. You win, buddy, fair and square."
Steven did a victory dance and high-fived his father.
"Come on before you make us late," Sheridan groused playfully.
********************
After a relaxing shower, Keefer had the opportunity to go through every item of clothing she owned, since all her things were scattered around the room. She put everything in its new and proper place in her brand new walk-in closet and sat on her bed. Even with everything neatly organized before her, she couldn't find one single thing to wear. She wanted to make an impression on Sheridan's friends and co-workers in the worst way, but she also wanted to be comfortable. She stood up and went through every pair of pants she owned, frowning at them all -- nothing seemed appropriate. What is Sheridan going to wear? she wondered. Jeans and a tank top. What else is she going to wear? Keefer rolled her eyes and pulled out her most comfortable jeans and a plain white T-shirt. There. Totally barbecue-ish, she nodded at her choice and quickly dressed before she changed her mind. Feet... shoes... The brunette was able to look at all her shoes at once with her new closet and after much deliberation, settled on sandals. She contemplated make-up and thought against it, choosing to wear her hair loose as well. There, I'm totally comfortable, that's one less thing to worry about.
*****************
Sharon had just got off duty and was picking up dinner in the supermarket when Sheridan called her. She was more than happy to chill out with some burgers and beer instead of cooking for herself and promptly told Sheridan so when she accepted the invite.
"So, where's this shindig at? Is Keefer coming?" she asked, putting her frozen dinner back in the store's freezer.
"Yeah, Keefer's coming. It's at Philly's house, you remember where that is?"
"Yeah, I remember where it is -- across from the Stop and Shop. I'm glad Keefer's coming; I'd love to see her without drama. See you in about an hour." Sharon flipped her cell phone closed and left the supermarket, unaware that her entire conversation had been overheard.
When she had first seen the cop, Danni made herself scarce, wanting only to shop in peace, but then she overheard the phone call. Sheİcame out from behind the display where she had been hiding and frowned. Keefer's going to a shindig? Willingly? A shindig is more than just a few friends. She has friends now? The redhead's eyes narrowed. This, I have to see for myself.
********************
Sheridan called the rest of the girls while she drove to Keefer's and they agreed to meet her, too. The blonde was getting very excited about hanging out with all her friends, and Keefer too. This is gonna be so cool, she thought about being surrounded by all her favorite people. And Steven, can't forget to keep an eye on Steven. She turned to her brother and chuckled, "You know, Pop's worried that I'll corrupt you."
"What's that mean?" he asked with furrowed brows.
"He thinks you'll be smoking and drinking and cursing by the end of the night," she explained.
"Ew, I'll never smoke," he grimaced. "I can have a beer right?" he asked expectantly.
"Yeah, but just one or two, and watch your mouth around Pop, okay?"
"I never curse in front of him like you do," Steven said seriously. "He'd get mad at you and then I'll feel bad."
Sheridan pursed her lips in thought. "Ya know, Stevie boy, I'm not the best person to be setting an example, so maybe you shouldn't watch me so carefully," she said quietly.
"Huh?" Steven didn't follow.
Sheridan shifted in her seat uncomfortably. "Well, like, I curse but I tell you not to, and I drink and I tell you not to. Maybe you should hang around with people who will teach you the right stuff."
Steven understood his sister now and he felt scared. "You don't want to hang around with me any more?" he asked meekly.
"No! That's not it!" she answered quickly. "It's just that I may not be the best teacher, is all."
"Are you kidding me? You teach me all the best stuff! You teach me how to use tools and cut walls, and build things! You taught me how to paint the bathroom, and how to put tiles on a wall and how to hammer and tie my shoes!" He stopped to take a breath. "You're the best teacher I have, Sher! You don't talk to me like I'm a retard, like the people in the home did, or that stupid school. I like having you teach me stuff!"
Sheridan blushed darkly, "Well... I was just sayin'..."
Steven smiled happily, "I love you, dirt bag."
"Love you, too, asshole," Sheridan put on the radio and smiled proudly, despite her embarrassed blush.
*******************
Phil waved his hand wildly when he saw Patch's car drive up to his house. "Come on!" he shouted over the din of the music. "Bring that sexy woman over here!"
Steven unfolded himself from the passenger side and Phil frowned.
"Hi, Phil! I'm gonna stay here while Sheridan gets Keefer," he said excitedly, his eyes darting all over the front yard.
Sheridan popped out of the car to nod in agreement. "Keep an eye on him, will ya?" When Phil nodded, she continued. "Hey, and don't say anything stupid like that when Keefer gets here. She's kinda shy and shit."
"No problem. So, you're going to get her now?"
"Yeah, they need some alone time to make kissy-face and goo-goo eyes," Steven teased.
"Oooo..." Phil and Tony whistled and hooted.
"Bite me," Sheridan snickered in embarrassment before she got back in her car and drove off.
****************
Keefer was still nervous and almost ready to face the evening. When Sheridan pulled into the driveway, her heart started beating furiously. She took a deep breath and closed the door behind her, hoping the smile she was wearing convinced her lover that she was happy, and not terrified.
Sheridan turned off the car and met her halfway, stopping Keefer in her tracks and stretching for a kiss. They kissed briefly until Keefer pulled away.
"Steven's already there; I thought you and I could be alone for a few. Are you okay?"
Keefer sighed nervously, "Sher, I'm really not comfortable with public displays and I know how you get... especially if you drink... and..."
"Babe, don't worry... I know," the blonde reassured. "I'll be on my best behavior, I promise. I already fucked up once today," she smiled and blinked rapidly, once again asking forgiveness.
Keefer grinned, "I told you, I'm not mad. Thank you for understanding me."
"Hell, Keef, I don't ever want to do anything to upset you, at least not twice in one day."
Keefer's grin turned into a smile. "I know. Come on, before I chicken out completely."
Sheridan grabbed her girlfriend's arm as she started to walk. "If you don't want to go, we don't have to, Keefer. Don't do something that makes you uncomfortable for my sake. That would really suck."
"No, it's not like that. If I really didn't want to go, I wouldn't. I'm nervous about it, but kind of excited to meet everyone at the same time. I want to know your friends; they make you happy."
"You make me the happiest."
Keefer grinned shyly, "That's the second time you said something mushy to me today. What's gotten into you?"
Sheridan shrugged, hearing Steven's words of wisdom far off in her head. "I just want to make sure you know it. You don't mind, do you?"
The tall woman bent down and kissed Sheridan lovingly. "Not at all. Thank you. Even though I know it, sometimes it's good to hear it."
*******************
There were no parking spots left when the couple arrived at Phil's house, making Keefer even more nervous. "There must be a lot of people there," she worried out loud.
"Yeah, you'd think, but it's just that they all have big cars. Dykes love trucks as much as those guys do," Sheridan gestured to Tony and Bobby who were walking over to greet them. "Must be penis-oriented."
Keefer giggled at her girlfriend's statement then became startled as her door opened suddenly. A large hand, followed by Bobby's face, filled her view and she turned to Sheridan in question.
"S'okay, Keef, Mr. Chivalry over there is Bobby."
The brunette hesitantly accepted the hand and squeaked when Bobby literally pulled her from the car. She blushed as he took a long look at her, up and down, side to side.
"Wooo whee," he commented with a big grin. "Pleased to meet you, inspector."
"Keefer, please," she responded, still blushing at his appraisal.
"Bobby, knock it off, you're embarrassing the woman," Tony yelled from the other side of the car, even though he couldn't take his eyes off of her either.
Keefer looked over the car to her lover who was grinning from ear to ear. What the heck is that all about? she wondered of her girlfriend's cocky expression.
Sheridan came around to Keefer and took her hand, leading her away from the guys. "They can't help it, you're too hot to ignore."
Uh huh. Now I see. "And this makes you feel good, huh."
"Very. Let's go, I want you to meet everyone. You ready?"
"As I'll ever be," Keefer nodded and swallowed.
"Wanna hang back for a while and I'll show you who everyone is before you meet them?" Sheridan asked, halting their movement.
Keefer thought about it. "Yeah, maybe that would be easier, but no, let's just get it over with." She squeezed Sheridan's hand tightly. "Thank you for that, though. You're sweeter than you know."
"Aw, quit it."
Marie and Dawn noticed Keefer immediately and motioned to Sharon. The tall cop walked over to meet the couple and handed Sheridan a beer. "Hi, guys. Glad you came, Keefer, I finally get to meet you under good circumstances." Sharon smiled brightly, making Keefer feel at ease.
"Good to see you again, too," she smiled back, already relieved a little. If they're all this nice, I can deal with it.
"Hey, Sher! Over here!" Steven called out from the grill.
Keefer and Sheridan smiled at each other. Steven was wearing a big chef's hat and was manning the grill. They made their way over and Sheridan couldn't resist teasing him. "Hey we've got Emeril on the job tonight!" She snuck up behind him and yelled, "BAM!"
Steven jumped but didn't drop anything. "You suck!" he yelled.
Sheridan narrowed her eyes and looked at Keefer, then thought better of the comment she had. "Yeah, well, made ya jump."
"Phil is letting me cook hot dogs and hamburgers! This is so cool! You want one Sher? Keefer, I made a special hamburger just for you, you want it now?"
"You made me a special hamburger?" she asked in puzzlement.
"Yeah, it's a perfect circle, it looks just like a hamburger is supposed to. The others just look like blobs. When I saw this one, I thought you have to have the perfect one," he pointed at it with the spatula.
Keefer blushed and Sheridan snickered.
"So, you want it?"
"In a minute," she leaned in close to him, "can you keep it safe for me?" Keefer whispered.
Steven nodded solemnly, "Totally."
"We'll be back, Stevie boy, we're gonna make the rounds," Sheridan said, dragging Keefer off to the rest of the people. "Yo, Marie!"
Keefer braced herself for the "girls". They were Sheridan's closest confidants. They knew everything about her girlfriend that she didn't know, and then some. She looked at Marie and liked the smile on her face. It wasn't phony or contrived. She was genuinely pleased to see her and it made her smile shyly back.
"Well, hello, Keefer," Marie said sweetly, extending her hand. "Finally, I get to meet the woman who can put Sheridan in her place."
Keefer accepted Marie's hand and shook it briefly. She noted the other woman approaching, also smiling brightly. "So, I put her in her place?"
"Oh, yeah. Taught girlfriend here a few lessons."
"Cut it out," Sheridan scoffed.
Keefer looked to her fidgeting lover and pondered that while the next woman introduced herself.
"Hey, Keefer, I'm Dawn, very pleased to meet you."
"Same here. Sheridan talks so much about you, I feel as if I know you already," Keefer said to the both of them.
"Don't we know it. You fried our girl's brain."
Keefer looked confused.
"That's a good thing, baby," Sheridan said, wrapping her arm around Keefer's waist.
Baby? Oh Lord, both Dawn and Marie thought simultaneously.
"Hey, there's Philly, lemme go say hello. You wanna stay here or come with me?" Sheridan asked Keefer.
"I'll come with you," the tall woman replied, liking the feel of Sheridan's arm wrapped securely around her.
*****************
Dawn, Sharon and Marie migrated to a corner and watched their friend and her lover.
"Keefer, in the flesh. Damn, but she really is gorgeous," Dawn said.
"Without makeup, in jeans and a T-shirt, oh yeah, I can see what got Sher," Marie agreed.
"Yep. She really loves Sheridan, too. I think it's really sweet," Sharon added.
"Do you see how she is with Steven? He practically shines around her," Dawn said with a smile, watching as Steven prepared Keefer a hamburger.
"Like brother, like sister. Sheridan's so fucking gone," Sharon laughed. "Look at her!"
They watched as Sheridan leaned against a tree and watched her lover with a big stupid smile on her face. The blonde never took her eyes off of Keefer, even as she spoke to Phil and drank her beer.
"If it can happen to her, it can happen to all of us," Sharon noted.
"Amen, sister friend." Dawn agreed.
****************
"She's a real looker, Patch."
"Oh yeah," Sheridan agreed dreamily then suddenly smacked him in the belly "Hey, don't stare at her like that, you pig."
"I'm not! I'm just looking," he snickered at his friend's protectiveness. "Can't help it anyway, you have one hell of a girlfriend, hon."
"Don't I know it." Sheridan puffed out proudly. "I'll be back," she said and walked off towards Keefer.
Keefer looked up to see her lover approach. "I made you a plate, I know you're hungry," she handed Sheridan a plate of food.
The blonde smiled and walked them over to the table. "Are you having fun?"
"Yeah, I am. I'm glad I came. It's not so bad, everyone is so nice to me." Keefer held up her perfect hamburger and waved it at Steven before taking a bite. She made happy faces as she chewed, causing Steven to beam.
"He thinks you're a goddess, you know," Sheridan said off-handedly.
"He does not. He just has a crush," Keefer said, blushing.
"Oh no, he lurves you."
"Stop that," Keefer scolded, smacking her lover's hand.
Sheridan pouted and Keefer kissed her finger, looked around, and then touched Sheridan's lip.
***********************
"Oh man, did you see that?" Sharon said, her eyes wide in disbelief.
"She fucking pouted!" Marie said in amazement.
***********************
"Check out Patch," Bobby elbowed Phil.
"She's actually making goo-goo eyes. Damned if Steven wasn't right!"
************************
Fucking gross, Danni groused from in her car. What the fuck does Sheridan have that I don't have? Look at her! She's holding hands... above the table... people are watching! Danni slunk down in her seat and frowned. "Fucking slut stole my girlfriend."
*************************
Marie happened to glance beyond the hedges and noticed a car double-parked by the driveway. "Hey, someone's gonna get a ticket," she worried.
Sharon looked up and cursed, "Fuck. It's Danni."
"Danni? What the hell is she doing here? How did she now about this?" Marie wondered.
"Holy shit! Do you think she's stalking Keefer?" Dawn asked nervously.
"I hope to god she is. That's jail time, ladies," Sharon said with an evil grin.
Marie looked to Sheridan and Keefer, who were now sitting on the same side of the table, and then back to Danni. "Do you think we should tell her?"
"Who do we tell? Keefer or Sheridan?"
"Fuck, I don't know," Dawn blew out a frustrated breath.
"Maybe I should just handle it," Sharon said.
"Uh oh, they're coming over," Dawn said behind her beer can.
"Hey, why the serious faces?" Sheridan asked curiously.
"Uh, nothing. What are you guys doing after? Wanna go to the club?" Marie replied nervously.
Sheridan cocked her head and raised an eyebrow at her friend's behavior, then looked at Keefer with a devastating grin. "Nope. We have business."
Keefer backhanded Sheridan in the side. "Sher!" she blushed.
"What?" the blonde asked innocently.
Sharon smiled knowingly, "That's cool. I wish I had business."
"I'd settle for a silent partner," Dawn joked.
*********************
Danni fumed. Keefer was blushing, laughing and having a great time. She's not supposed to be laughing with her.
