PART 9
Chapter 16
The mansion was dark as a shadow quietly crept down the hallway to come to a stand before a door. Slipping in, it walked over to the bed where a slight hump was visible.
“Go away.”
The shadow stiffened and inhaled deeply. “Please …”
“No, just go away. You lied to me even if it was by omission.”
“I did not lie to you. I was going to talk to you about it, but … but I was … I was scared.”
The hump moved and the room was flooded with a soft orange light from the bed lamp. Red-rimmed grey eyes studied the tall woman. “Scared? Scared of what?”
The tall vampire slowly lowered herself on the bed, making sure she left enough space between her and the irate, pregnant woman.
“We have only been together for such a short time, I was not sure you would take kindly to the fact that you might be bound to me forever.”
Jessica threw the duvet off and sat up. “I've lost you completely. What does this have to do with you failing to tell me about the danger our baby is in?”
Clarissa's eyes widened slightly. When Tahlia called the women in earlier and told them about Copernicus and the threat he posed to the babies, Jessica had given her this cold look before pulling her hand out of hers. That was when it struck her that her time had run out. She had hoped to wait a while before she could talk to Jess about the baby and her newly found immortality. But she had obviously waited too long. She had stiffened when Syria had calmly enquired about how the women were coping with the fact that they were immortal now. Jessica hadn't even blinked at that, but Clarissa had known that her lover was seething. Once the meeting had been adjourned, Jessica had left quietly not even sparing her a glance. She had rushed after her and had brought her home. Before their sleeping chamber, Jessica had turned to her and begged her for some time alone. She had obeyed her request, albeit very reluctantly.
“You are not angry about the fact that you are now … immortal?”
Jessica swung her long legs off the bed. Looking down at her hands, she shook her head.
“If you should ask me that then I must've failed greatly in showing you how important you are to me and how much I love you.” The grey eyes were intense as they looked at her and Clarissa felt a shiver run down her spine. “I will live in a dank cave as long as I know you will be there with me. I will give up everything to move and live in an alternate universe where I have to dine on bugs and whatever disgusting things there is to live on as long as you are there with me. I am willing to live forever as long as I can spend all eternity with you … being loved by you.” Jessica crawled over the wide expanse of the bed until she was face to face with her. “This baby that I'm carrying, might be from a different race, but it is ours and I love it because this might be the only chance I have to give you such a great gift. It angers me that I am cradling this baby under my heart, but am left in the dark when it comes to its safety. We are partners in this, Clarissa, and I want you to treat me as such, even with the smallest things.”
Jessica's hand reached out and rubbed at her cheeks. That was when Clarissa realized that she was crying. With a soft whimper, she leaned into Jessica's soft touch, her heart swelling with love for the woman before her. It was almost impossible to think that she had to live through four long, lonely centuries to be able to meet this woman— her woman. Everyday she was stunned by the love this woman felt for her. She showed her in every little way possible. It was there in the mornings when she rolled out of bed and tenderly pulled the bedcovers over her corpselike body to keep the cold at bay. It was there in the warm, open-mouth kiss she placed on her cold lips just before she rushed out of the room to avoid the morning rush hour traffic. It was there in the soft loving thoughts and memories she sends her during the day. But mostly, it was there when she wrapped her warm arms around her and cajoling her into taking a few drops of blood from her so she needn't go out hunting and so they could spend those precious few hours together instead.
“I don't know how it will be to live forever, but you do and I trust you will help me to adapt. But I don't want to lose this baby, Clarissa. I love it already and I want it to live so that it can experience the selflessness of your beautiful heart. You will be the best mother any child could ever wish for and our child deserves the right to meet you.”
Jessica moved closer and slipped over until she was nestled in Clarissa's lap. “Promise me that you will do everything in your power to protect her … us… our family.”
Clarissa nodded and pressed a wet kiss against Jessica's lips. “I promise, my love. I promise to protect all of us.”
“Good. Is there anything else I should know about the baby?”
Clarissa shook her head. “Nothing, for now. We are still working on a plan to ensure that Copernicus is kept as far away from the babies as possible.”
Jessica's eyes stared deeply into hers and she smiled. “That's good to know.”
“May I spend the night with you?”
“Of course,” Jessica murmured slyly, “but it will cost you.”
“I am willing to pay any price to be able to hold you in my arms tonight.”
Jessica's eyes took on a leering look. “How about we take a nice warm bath together and then take it from there.”
Clarissa gently lay her lover down on the bed and rushed over to the bathroom to fill up the bath.
Twenty minutes later they were submerged in the warm soapy water, kissing and talking softly. Jessica placed a soft kiss over Clarissa's heart and smiled when she saw the adoration in the dark brown eyes. An eternity with this woman might in fact be to short for me, she thought as she took Clarissa's lips in a hard, hungry kiss.
**************************
The safe house was quiet as Tahlia walked down the dimly lit hallway. Just as she was about to pass the library she felt eyes on her and turned slowly.
“Trouble sleeping?”
“No, I was actually waiting for you. Want to grab a coffee?”
Tahlia nodded and slowly walked closer. She threw her arm over her daughter and hugged her close to put a soft kiss on her temple.
“Where do you want to go for coffee?”
Inger snuggled deeper into her mother's soothing embrace. “Paloma is already busy making some for us.”
Tahlia grinned. “You really got her trained well.”
“She's quite easy to train,” Inger said with a mischievous grin and blushed when she saw her mother cringed. “There are many other ways too, Mother.”
Tahlia shrugged. “If you say so.”
Arm in arm they walked in the direction of the kitchen. They entered the kitchen just as Paloma placed a tray on the table. There were two steaming mugs of coffee and a glass of warm milk. Paloma looked pointedly at the glass of warm milk and back at Inger who grimaced.
“Not even some decaf, sweetie?”
Paloma shook her head and pushed the glass towards Inger who took it with a heavy sigh as she went to sit at the table. Tahlia accepted her mug with a curt nod. They each took a sip from their beverages. There was a short silence before Paloma broke the silence.
“I do not like this, Tahlia. I do not like being on the sidelines while my family is under threat.”
Tahlia looked up slowly, her eyes very dark as they rested on Paloma. She took another sip from her mug and carefully placed it on the table, her eyes still locked with Paloma's.
“What do you think should we do, Paloma?”
“We need to let Copernicus know that we are not hiding from him. I do not want him to think that we have become soft because we are to be parents.” Paloma turned to look at Inger and back at Tahlia. “I need your approval to confront him.”
Tahlia calmly reached for her mug again, her eyes fixed on the gleaming surface of the table. She took a sip from her cup. When her eyes rose to meet Paloma's there was sheen of red in them. Inger reached out and placed a gentle hand on her arm and Tahlia quickly blinked. This time her eyes were a solid black when she looked at her daughter.
“Could you do me a favor?”
Inger sat up straighter, a curious look on her face. “What do you want me to do, mother?”
Tahlia slowly came to her feet and at the same time the air shifted in the kitchen as Jonas and Pierre appeared next to the table. Inger's eyes widened at seeing her uncles were dressed in black leather, a sign that they were battle ready.
“Please go to your mother and stay with her until we return. I do not want her to be alone.”
“I don't need a babysitter, Tahlia,” Jemima's voice sounded loud in the quiet of the room. Tahlia quickly turned to see Jemima standing in the doorway.
“We need to do this, Jemima. Paloma is right. Our silence could be perceived as a sign of weakness.”
Jemima nodded. “I understand.”
“So, you will stay here where it is safe?” Tahlia asked calmly, but inside she was praying that Jemima would not demand to accompany them.
“I will stay here, but I want a promise from each of you that you will return to us safely.”
The Royals nodded quickly and after a few moments of silence, Jemima turned and left the kitchen. Inger turned to Tahlia.
“I will stay with her and ask Trinity and Clarissa to joins us here.”
Tahlia kissed Inger and quickly left the kitchen. Entering the training room, she came to an abrupt stop when she found Jemima there, holding out her sword and breastplate to her.
“You promised to come back to me and I will hold you to it.”
Tahlia quickly walked over to her wife and gathered her into her arms. “You have my word that I will come back to you.” She lowered her head to kiss Jemima, but was shaken when the blonde gently pushed her away. Jemima lifted her head and Tahlia saw the pleading look in the blue eyes. Kissing her now would only make it harder for her to let her go. Tahlia understood.
“Let me help you put on your breastplate.”
Tahlia swallowed hard and raised her arms as Jemima raised the heavy protective shield over her head. She had to bend down a little to make it easier for Jemima. She stood motionlessly as Jemima fastened the laces. Once she was done, Jemima stood back and looked up at Tahlia.
“Go now and come back safely.” With that she slowly dissolved, her sapphire eyes fixed on Tahlia.
Tahlia inhaled deeply and left the training room.
*********************************
The deep, mellow humming filled the room, vibrating gently against the thick dark walls of the small room. Sitting in a semi circle were three figures, all facing a dark, elaborate highchair. The humming continued even when a tall, striking redhead entered the room and crossed over to the highchair. Her tall, voluptuous body was clad in an expensive black pinstripe pant suit. Her cold hazel eyes rested on the slumped figure in the chair.
“I came as soon as I could, Copernicus.” Her deep contralto voice startled the figure into instant wakefulness. Gracefully, Copernicus came to its feet.
“Thank you for getting here so fast, Jasmine,” came the soft-spoken voice.
The woman nodded curtly as she threw an irritated look at three other people in the room. Noticing her annoyance, Copernicus, lifted his hand and the humming stopped at once.
“Leave us.”
The three hooded figures left the room quietly. As soon as the door closed behind them, Copernicus turned to the redhead. His eyes boldly raked over the woman. He loved beautiful women, especially arrogant ones like the attorney standing before him, but even with all his wealth and power he could never entice the woman enough for her to want to become his escort. He was tired of the sluts he took to his bed and sometimes craved the companionship of a true, classy woman. He lifted his head and met cool hazel eyes. Was he mistaken or was that a flash of disgust in her eyes? He looked closer and this time all he saw was cool indifference.
“Why am I here, Copernicus?”
Brown eyebrows climbed across a broad forehead as Copernicus' eyes narrowed dangerously. He was strong enough to snap her in two, but he needed her and she was one of the best attorneys he knew.
“There are rumors doing the rounds about the Pillars.”
The hazel eyes were expressionless as they stared at the thin man standing before her.
“That's an old wives' tale, Copernicus. The Pillars don't exist. There hasn't been any reference to them in over 700 years.”
Copernicus gave the woman a cold, unblinking stare. “They are here in New York .”
He saw a brief look of surprise flash across the woman's face, but it was gone almost immediately. “I don't understand?”
Copernicus walked over to the window. His eyes took in the dark Manhattan skyline, but he also kept an eye on the attorney's reflection where she stood behind him.
“Their essences were kept in a crystal for almost a thousand years until two months ago. An ancient spell has brought them back to life.”
The woman stepped closer. “Why are you telling me this?”
Copernicus turned around, his face hard. “Because I am planning a full out war and I want you and your firm to make sure that I come out of this squeaky clean.”
A look of incredulity came over the woman's face as she stared at him and Copernicus raised a questioning eyebrow.
“Come again,” the attorney asked softly.
“I'm planning an attack with lots of men and lots of guns.”
Jasmine shook her head slowly as she looked at him.
“Are you insane? A massacre? Here in New York ? No, no, no. You can't be serious.”
Copernicus shrugged. “I never joke about things like this, Ms. London. I pay your firm exorbitant amounts of money every year to make sure that I get the service that I desire. It's time you start to earn the big bucks now.”
Before the woman could respond the door to the large room swung open and group of men stepped in. Copernicus rushed over to them and grabbed the one closest to him. With the flick of his wrist he flung the man across the room and into the opposite wall. A sickening thud sounded as the man hit the wall and slowly slid down the wall. He was dead before his body hit the floor. Turning back to the men, Copernicus was pleased to see the looks of horror and fear on the faces of the men. He rarely exhibited his immense power, but when he did, he was always thrilled by the reaction of his spectators.
“What the hell is this? Why are you interrupting my meeting?”
A large man stepped forward quickly. “We have trouble, sir, and we need to get you out of here.”
A sliver of fear ran down his spine at the news and Copernicus pulled the man closer to him.
“What's going on?”
“Four people just walked into the building and started slashing through the guards. They … they … No matter how many men we sent down to stop them, they just ...” The man took a quick breath. “They are unstoppable, Sir.”
Copernicus walked over to a panel in the wall and pushed it open to reveal a large monitor. He pressed a button and winced at the image of a blood splattered foyer greeting them.
“What the …?” Copernicus snapped; his eyes still on the monitor. What ever had caused his foyer to resemble a warzone couldn't be allowed loose in his building. “Where the hell are they?”
“Right over here.”
The men turned with their weapons drawn, but there was a quick blur of movement and the men were left staring at their empty hands. Right before their eyes the air stirred and four figures appeared. Copernicus felt a shudder passed through his body when he recognized the Vampire Queen, her Dark Princes and the ever so deadly Assassin.
“Oh my …” Jasmine gasped as she stared at the blood splattered vampires. She turned to look at Copernicus, who was staring back at the vampires, his face pale. “They … they are …”
“Shut up, Jasmine,” he snapped at the stunned attorney. No matter how rattled he was by the sudden appearance of the vampires, he had to keep his head and try to diffuse the situation without losing face. “To what do I owe the honor of your unexpected visit, Your Highness?” He asked quietly, praying his voice didn't give away his panic. As an Outlander he was strong and could maybe try and take on one of them, but then his strength was all he had compared to these vampires who had age, speed, skill and experience over him.
Tahlia stepped forward and the guards nervously stepped back to allow her to pass. She came to stand before Copernicus and reached into the inside pocket of her jacket. Copernicus flinched at the sudden movement. A letter was held under his nose and he slowly reached out for it. As he unfolded it, he noticed that it was the letter he had sent to them. He looked up at Tahlia.
“We were in the neighborhood and thought we would just drop in and deliver this in person. We accept your challenge and will have a challenger ready by the time you have your next fight night.” The black eyes glowed with a deep, unholy light as Tahlia continued. “You should realize though that no matter the outcome of the fight any attempt by you to harm the Pillars will be a challenge we would gladly accept too.”
Copernicus watched as the Vampire Queen's death stare raked over the attorney before it returned to him.
“I hope you would not think us too rude for leave so suddenly again, but we have a prior engagement.” With that she walked over to where the Royals stood. Together they all disappeared before the stunned faces of the guards.
Copernicus crumbled the letter in his hand and threw it into the face of on the guards.
“How the hell did they get passed our security?”
The leader of the group shook his head, his eyes still fixed on the spot where the vampires had been a minute ago.
“They just walked in, sir. When security tried to stop them, they suddenly just lashed out at them.” His face was pale. “They killed more than half of the guards.”
“Makes me wonder why you are still alive,” Copernicus snapped, venom dripping from his words.
The guard swallowed hard. “They specifically targeted renegades, sir.”
“Oh my …” a soft croaked escaped Jasmine's lips. “What have you got yourself into, Copernicus? The Royals are bad news.”
“Leave us. NOW!” Copernicus yelled at the men and watched as they almost fell over each other to reach the exit. Turning back to Jasmine, his eyes hardened when he saw the raw fear on the woman's face.
“Don't you ever … EVER … question me in front of my employees, you hear. Your job is to keep me off the radar and that's all. Anything else is none of your business.”
Jasmine looked at him, her hazel eyes expressionless.
“I understand and I apologize.” She raked a shaking hand through her hair. “The Royals are not to be messed with.”
“I know, but if want to get to the Pillars I have to go through them first.”
“What do you mean?” Jasmine asked carefully.
“They are under the protection of the Royals. The Pillars will be reborn as Royals. As a matter of fact you have just met some of their parents.”
This time the usually suave woman's jaw dropped as she stared at him and Copernicus allowed himself a small grin at the funny sight.
“But … the Queen … oh my … oh…” Jasmine sputtered before she turned away. “This is not good. This … this will not end well.”
Copernicus shrugged. “The Pillars are powerless in the state they are in now. Once they grow to adulthood they would pose a definite risk for me.” He hated to admit it, but he was no match for the Pillars either. Only one of them could easily wipe the floor with him. He knew that while he was hunting his own kind, the Pillars were just biding their time. Sooner of later they would've tracked him down and destroyed him. But they outwitted him in the end. They conned him into believing that they were not a threat to him anymore.
Anger bubbled to the surface as a sudden feeling of helplessness settled in his chest. Jasmine was right. After their impromptu display tonight, he had to admit that the Royals were not as docile as he'd thought they would be.

Chapter 17
Tahlia stood outside the library. She could sense Jemima inside. At least she had kept her promise and was uninjured. She looked down her body. She had cleaned up before seeking out her wife, but the stench of death still clung to her. She didn't want to expose their baby to the morbid side of life even before she's been born. There were still a few hours left before dawn, maybe she could use them to unwind a little before she seek out Jemima again.
The training room was empty when she stepped inside. Leaving the room in darkness she walked over to the wall where all their weapons were on display. She studied each of them carefully before stepping back from the wall. None of them would assuage the tension she felt in her body. She shrugged out of her jacket and tossed it to the floor. Walking into the center of the large room, she took a deep breath before slowly easing her body into the soothing motions of Kalarippayattu. As her body stretched and rolled into the gentle movements, she felt her tension slowly begin to dissipate and a profound sense of peace seep into her being. After a long while, a soft smile formed on her lips as she allowed memories to flood her mind. The interior of the training room dissolved as she was taken back to the year 600 AD. She saw herself as she sat cross-legged on a mat, surrounded by serene garden of Hidharama .
“You will have to take your senses on a walk, Dark One. Taste the air; feel each and every particle as it bounces off you. Envision where they are going to touch you next.” The small monk walked around her as he spoke. “There is not much I can teach you about warfare that you have not mastered already, but I can teach you how to be graceful, how to entice the enemy and win the battle even before it had began.”
She had allowed her supernatural senses free rein as they flitted through the garden. She was bombarded with an array of smell, textures and yes … the monk's ill-disguised apprehension at her presence. She opened her eyes and met her teacher's head on.
“You are a very powerful being, Dark One. A supreme predator.” He had taken a careful step forward. “By teaching you this sacred art I could put many lives in great peril, but I will leave the responsibility of how you apply it to you. Your power is very unsettling, but it is pure at least. I trust you will honor my teachings.”
Tahlia slowly came to her feet, towering over the small, bearded monk.
“You have my promise that I will reserve this art strictly for personal use. It will never be used to harm another living being.”
Hidharama nodded; his dark eyes intense. “I sense that you have had a long life before now and that an even longer one awaits you.” He had placed a soft hand on her elbow. “Since you have so much more time left on this earth than I do, why not spent a few more hours with me. Tell me about your pasts.”
She smiled at the inquisitiveness of the man. Suddenly the serenity of the garden faded away …
… the flowerbeds dissolving into soft fragrant white linen. Tahlia's eyes widened as she saw a long well-shaped leg slowly pushing out from under the sheet. She swallowed as her eyes slowly moved up the leg, a curved hip, two succulent mounds, an arched neck … she gasped when she encountered two dark pools of hot sapphire.
Tahlia shook her head to clear her head. Jemima was becoming very powerful indeed for her to be able to slip into her mind so stealthily.
<I'm waiting for you, Vampire.>
The soft, seductive invitation kicked her into action and grabbing her jacket she dissolved mid-stride. The art of Kalarippayattu was known to heighten one's senses and she, although not human, was not immune to it.
Her eyes were very dark, when she opened them. They immediately located the bed where her wife laid, sprawled on her back. Sucking in a deep voice, she slowly walked over to the bed.
“Jemi …?” Her voice was shaky with desire. The tiny hairs on her arms stood up straight when Jemima turned her head to the side and looked at her with desire-filled eyes.
“Take off your clothes, Tahlia. You are completely overdressed for what I have in mind.”
Tahlia nodded, her eyes riveted on the long, sleek form of Jemima. She felt saliva pool in her mouth at the thought of her tongue tracing the sleek surface. She was so aroused that she was panting slightly. She quickly divested herself of her clothes and gently placed a knee on the bed next to Jemima's prone figure. Her hands reached out touched the smooth surface. Not able to wait anymore she pressed her lips to the warm skin. A soft gasp escaped Jemima's lips followed by a long drawn out moan.
“Don't take too long, baby. I doubt I will last very long.”
Tahlia slowly moved her lips upwards, kissing each vertebra of her spine with painstaking care and tenderness. By the time she reached the back of Jemima's neck, they were both breathing hard. She leaned over Jemima's shoulder seeking out her mouth. The first touch of her lips, made them both moan at the heart stopping familiarity of the sensations coursing through their bodies. Jemima slowly pushed up on her hands, her intention clear. Tahlia quickly sat back until Jemima had executed her turn and was lying flat on her back now. Jemima's breasts, fuller now as a result of the pregnancy, bounced lightly, making Tahlia wet her lips in anticipation.
She sucked a hard nipple into her mouth and felt her clit jerk when Jemima cried out hoarsely. Jemima's hands slipped into her hair and locked behind her head to keep it from moving away from her breast.
“Yes … yes … oh, my baby.”
With her mouth hungrily sucking on the tasty nipple, Tahlia's hand slipped down Jemima's shivering body. She moaned when her hand reached its intended destination and was greeted by an abundance of wetness. She gently parted her slick folds, looking for the small, hidden treasure she knew she would find there. Jemima's hips rose to meet her touch just as Tahlia found the hardened nub standing up, eager for her touch. Using two finger she slowly slid down the slick clit and up again, gently milking the sensitive bundle of nerves. A series of fast words slip from Jemima's lips as she furiously pumped her hips.
Tahlia lifted her head from Jemima's breast, mesmerized by the look of bittersweet pleasure on Jemima's beautiful face. She lowered her head and using her tongue, pushed Jemima's lips open. She groaned when Jemima viciously attacked her mouth, sucking Tahlia's tongue deep into her mouth before she pushed it back into Tahlia's mouth only to repeat the action again.
Tahlia was undone by the erotic kiss and felt a heat wave rush down to her nether regions to her already engorged clitoris. She pulled her mouth away from Jemima's, desperately in need of some self-control. Jemima refused to give up so easily and pulled Tahlia closer for another nerve-numbing kiss. Panting heavily now, Tahlia pulled away from Jemima.
“We need to slow it down a bit otherwise I will come even before you have had the chance to touch me.”
Jemima smiled slyly and reached under her pillow. Tahlia felt her clit jerk again at the sight of the harness in her wife's hand.
“I doubt that would help to slow this down, my love.”
Jemima cocked her head to one side, a sultry smile on her lips as she held out the harness.
“No slowing down. I want to come hard and fast tonight, baby, and you are the only one who can give me that.” She raised an eyebrow. “I can beg if you want.” With that said her hand reached down and found Tahlia's straining clit. She rubbed over it and grinned when Tahlia threw back her head, her mouth open in a silent scream. “Do you want me to beg some more?”
Tahlia quickly sat back and reached for the toy. Once she was strapped in, she quickly placed a soft kiss on Jemima's clit, before she gently eased Jemima's legs apart. She felt another wave of wetness seep from her at the look of hungry anticipation on Jemima's face. The blue eyes were focused on the bulbous head of the dildo sticking out from between her legs.
She pushed a finger under Jemima's chin and lifted her head so that she could look into her eyes. The air got stuck in her chest at the look of pure desire in the blue eyes. Tahlia's blood thickened as she too, began to shiver in anticipation. Lifting Jemima's legs over her shoulders, they kept eye contact, as she slow pushed forward. The moment the tip of the toy had squeezed passed the band of muscles, Jemima bucked unexpectedly. Tahlia watched in stunned fascination as the toy disappeared into Jemima's depths. Looking up into Jemima's face, the blue eyes were squeezed tight, her lower lip caught between her lips. Jemima opened her eyes and looked into hers.
“Take me, Tahlia. Take me … hard and fast.”
Tahlia reared back, her eyes still holding the sapphire ones captive. A soft smile formed on her lips.
“Not tonight, my love. Tonight I want to love the woman who owns my soul.” She placed a soft kiss on Jemima's lips. “I want to honor the woman who is carrying my child.”
With that said, she gently pushed forward. Her eyes were pitch black as she watched Jemima's face transform into a exquisite pleasure as she savored the gentle intrusion. With a soft, contented smile, Tahlia pulled Jemima closer to her. Together they slowly began to glide against each other.
Jemima's hand lifted, her fingers pushing into the soft dark hair and held on tight as she bucked into her wife's strong body. She shuddered at the dark, intense look of love in black eyes.
“I love you,” she murmured softly and pulled the dark head down for a kiss. The kiss was slow but intense, making her want to swallow this magnificent woman … wanting her to be part of her body. She felt a tear run down her cheek and took a deep breath. She was completely overwhelmed by the emotions running through her.
Tahlia's eyes darkened even further, making her face look even paler as she pulled away from the kiss. With her lower body still moving tantalizing slow, plundering Jemima's depths, Tahlia gently kissed the tear from her cheeks.
“I adore you, beloved.”
Jemima closed her eyes and sighed at the gentleness of her wife's touch. She reached out and pressed her nails into the muscled back. The answering grunt, made her shudder and she opened her eyes to lock gazes with glowing red ones. Oh, how she loved having her beast in bed with her too.
“I doubt I can feel more for you than I do now?” Her eyes were glittering pools of sapphire as she seduced her wife with her lustful gaze.
“You can and you will, my love. We have an eternity to cultivate the greatest love ever experienced by anyone … man or beast.”
With that said, Tahlia lowered her head and Jemima saw a glint of sharp fangs before they slammed into her jugular. Her mouth fell open in a silent scream as Tahlia drank from her. Her hips pumping faster and faster still until Jemima couldn't stand the overwhelming pleasure coursing through her body. A sharp cry escaped her lips as she bucked wildly as her climax was upon her. She felt Tahlia's tongue lapping at her neck and turn her head so she could capture the soft lips with hers. As the taste of the rich coppery flavor on her lover's tongue, she pulled away and slammed her fangs into Tahlia's neck.
Tahlia gasped at the sudden pain and gathering Jemima even closer to her, her body slid over Jemima's with intense urgency. Blinded by her approaching orgasm, she could only hear Jemima's soft whimpers as she retracted her fangs from her neck and plunged into a vortex of ecstasy. Tahlia followed soon afterwards, her body caught up in uncontrollable spasms.
“Oh … Jemima … ohhhhhh …”
Paralyzed by the powerful orgasm, Jemima could only hold onto the quaking body of her wife. Her eyes were shut tightly as she absorbed the languid heat of her spent orgasm spreading through her body. This was one of her favorite moments ever. Laying here, spent, in Tahlia's strong arms, their sweat slicked bodies clinging together, their erratic breathing the only sound in the room. She was simply addicted to the feeling utter happiness and serenity she felt at the moment.
“Are you okay, my love?” Tahlia lifted her head, her dark hair plastered to her scalp as she looked down into Jemima's eyes. “I did not hurt you or the baby?”
Jemima smiled and shook her head as her arms tightened around Tahlia. After a long moment of intense scrutiny, Tahlia smiled too and pressed her face into Jemima's neck. They lay like that for a few more moments before Tahlia gently slipped off Jemima and removed the toy.
“Should we not be careful using this in your current state?” She asked as she lay back, gently gathering Jemima into her arms.
“Nope. I like it when you use the toy on me and I promise I wouldn't have let you use it if it wasn't safe.” She lifted her head and watched as Tahlia drew her head back so they could look at each other. “We are okay, better than okay actually, mommy”
“In that case, I want to thank you for this, darling.”
Jemima smiled and traced a soft finger over Tahlia's lips. Except for her missing making love to Tahlia, she also wanted to help her forget about the brutal night.
“It was a pleasure … and I mean that literally.”
Tahlia gave her a slow smile, but even with the very pleasurable diversion she had instigated, Jemima could see a familiar darkness creep into Tahlia's eyes again. Not in the least upset by her wife's quick slump back into her thoughts, she pulled the dark head down for a soft, gentle kiss. At least her physical needs have been taken care of. She had noted that Tahlia's body was back to normal. The pronounced vertebra, which was had been visible for the past two weeks, a sign that she was in a semi state of transformation, were gone. Whatever was the cause, she was relieved to know that Tahlia's body was slowly beginning to relax. Now all that was left was to soothe her mental state.
“Tell me what happened tonight, baby?” She raised a brow when Tahlia quickly looked away, but she gently turned it back towards her. “I want to know. Please.”
Tahlia's eyes darkened until they were a solid black. Jemima reached out and cupped Tahlia's cheek. From Tahlia's expression it was obvious that the battle must've been extremely brutal. She smiled warmly, wanting her warmth and love to banish the dark, bloody memories. No matter what, she was not going to allow any other stains to darken Tahlia's already struggling soul. She gently stroked the hard face until the dark eyes blinked and Tahlia began to relay the events of the night in a dark, tense voice.
