I was walking along Charles street, my cane tapping away at the street with every step. It was a Saturday night, and I often strolled the dark London streets then. It was quiet, allowing a gentleman to think. I walked this path every night, seeing all the familiar buildings and trees. The trees are quite breathtaking this time of year. Tip my top hat at a lady passing by on the arm of her husband. Then I stop, noticing something a bit odd. That door was not there last evening. I walk toward the stone building to have a closer look. Indeed, this is new. But how odd. The door is wood, a bit shabby. There is a sign of some sort next to it. Putting my spectacles on, I have a closer look.
The Wayword Inn
What on earth is this nonsense? I looked a bit closer. As I read, it was almost as if I could hear a far off voice talking to me: Writers, readers, poets, you're needed terribly. Come to the Wayword Inn. My curiosity piqued, I reached a hand out, opened that large, shabby door and stepped inside.

This is what the author says about the story - I have no idea what this story
is about. I'm insane and was suffering from creative constipation and after
a shot of inspirational ex-lax this is what came out. It's is no where near
as dark as my last fic and probably shouldn't even be posted but I'm a masochist
and a feedback whore so sue me. Plus the little people kept whispering in my
ear for me to post it and this was the only way to shut them up. They're some
persistent little buggers I tell ya. Why are you still reading this? Go read
the story already. You know you're curious. Just don't shoot me when you're
finished. I'd appreciate a bottle of Evian with a splash of lime though.

As many of you know, the Shakespeare by the Sea Theater Company had a ROCkin' good production run of Macbeth this past summer. Well, they were ROCked yet again, this time badly, when after the last performance of the season their lighting and sound equipment was stolen. From ROCket highs to ROCkbottom lows.
Well, Orlando BardCon is there...heading up an effort to raise funds to help them replace what they lost in the theft. The OBC has chosen SbtS as the object of their 2002-2003 fundraising endeavors. You will hear more about these in the coming weeks.
First up will be the ROCtober Raffle.
The Raffle will run from ROCtober 1-31, 2002. The drawing will be held November 9th, and Missy Good will be drawing our winners. Winning numbers will be announced on the list (and also be posted on the BardCon Raffle site) along with the prize that was won.
