DECEPTIONS PART 2e

“ Um...yes, I’m fine, I just.....” Ephiny looked back at the clone Xena and
then back to Gabrielle and put the hand that held the tooth behind her and
said, “ We have to splint her leg so that she doesn’t accidentally move it.”
“ Hmm, okay.” Gabrielle answered and Ephiny once again looked to Xena and she
once again nodded her head and Ephiny and Nebula went to wrap the limb with
gentle care.
After Diana was tendered to Questra spoke again.
“ Now that you have taken care of her, come here Gabrielle, you and I need to
have a heart to heart.”
“ How can WE have a heart to heart when there is only one heart here?”
Gabrielle sneered.
“ None the less I gave you a command.” Questra answered back.
Gabrielle glared at her for a moment and then slowly climbed off of the bed
and walked over to where Questra stood waiting for her. Xena watched her
approach Questra and shooting a look to Questra in warning , Questra sent Xena
a message.
“ I gave your Consort I would not hurt her, and I won’t, but I will scare her
a little.”
Gabrielle came to stop just outside of Questra’s reach and Questra crooked her
finger to motion for her to step closer, and after a moment she did and
Questra’s hand shot out and caught Gabrielle around the throat and lifted her
up into the air.
“ If you ever disappear again without my permission, I will kill one person
each candlemark you are gone, starting with the big mouth. Nebula, and then
work my way through until I have gone through everyone of your and Diana’s
friends, seeing how they want to continue to be involved in business that is
not theirs, Do I make myself perfectly clear?”
Gabrielle choked out a faint yes and Questra lowered her to the floor and let
go of her throat. Gabrielle’s hands immediately went to her throat to rub out
the soreness.
“ Is....is....is that how you kept Diana from leaving?”
“ No, I told her we would kill someone in the palace until she came back, we
thought that was incentive enough to keep her from trying to escape.”
“ Why did you have to do that to her?”
“ She started it by chaining me in that dungeon, on top sending you out of my
reach, I have needs of My Consort.”
“ I’m not your Consort!!” Gabrielle shouted at Questra.
“ You are what I say you are little girl.” Questra said with danger in her
tone.
“ What do you two want?!” Nebula asked with her arm in a sling.
Xena walked over to the bed and Gabrielle went to intercept Xena from reaching
Diana again, but Questra caught her and pulled her to her.
“ Don’t hurt her anymore?! We’ll do whatever you want!” Gabrielle exclaimed
as Xena sat on the bed next to the trembling Diana, who was still in shock and
pain from the broken leg as well as the other pains in her body.
Xena brought her hand up to Diana’s cheek and Diana attempted to move away,
but she was in too much pain. Xena’s hand stopped for a moment with Diana’s
initial attempt, but then she let it touch Diana’s cheek and she lightly
caressed it as tears ran down Diana’s face.
“ Right now I want to talk to Diana alone.”
“ No! I’m not going anywhere with her and I’m not leaving Diana alone here
with you!” Gabrielle stated firmly.
“ You will go where your told too.” Xena answered simply.
Gabrielle blushed from the look Xena leveled on her as she looked over her
brows at Gabrielle and then at the other women in the room.
“ Nebula, you and Ephiny are to leave and don’t come back unless I say it is
okay, if you or any of your guards show up here, they will be killed. Do you
understand?” Xena asked as she looked at the two women and then focused on
Nebula with a look of resentment.
“ Yes. it’s clear.”
“ Good.” Guard!!” Xena called to from the bedchamber. “ The Princess and Queen
Ephiny are to be escorted out of the palace and the area surrounding it. Go.”
Nebula and Ephiny looked to Gabrielle, and then back at Diana and then to
Gabrielle once again.
Gabrielle nodded her head and Ephiny then turned to face Xena.
“ If anything else happens to Diana, or Gabrielle, then I will declare war on
you ad Questra.” Ephiny affirmed and then started to turn to leave, but then
stopped when she heard Nebula’s voice.
“ You two may look and have a lot of things in common with Our Friends, and
the true rulers, but if you hurt her or Gabrielle once again, then you will
have the army of Summary to deal with as well.”
Nebula then turned and stormed out the chamber with Ephiny right behind her.
Questra watched them go and then turned her attention back to Xena.
“ They honestly believe they can stop us.” Questra mocked.
“ Their fools, never mind them, in three days we will perform the opening.”
“ Good, in the mean time we will give you two some time alone, and we will
reacquaint ourselves with each other.” Questra said lustily, as she caressed
Gabrielle’s hair.
Gabrielle tried to jerk her head away from the caress, but she was held
tightly.
“ Hmm....My Consort plans on putting up a fight for the next three
days....should make things interesting to say the least.”
“ You’ll have to.....”
“ You don’t want to say that Gabrielle, I assure you she would have no
problems with that, as a warrior, who’s adrenalin is already high, that would
only excite her more?” Xena warned reading Gabrielle’s thoughts before they
were out her mouth.
Gabrielle looked at her and then swallowed hard, and then went silent.
“ Go with her Gabrielle, behave and you won’t have any problems.” Xena stated
sincerely.
Gabrielle’s breathing was hard but she tried to calm it.
“ Okay, I’ll go with her, if you promise not to hurt Diana anymore?”
“ You have my word.”
Gabrielle studied Xena for a moment and then Questra pulled her out the bed
chamber and took her to Gabrielle’s chamber. Xena stood up and walked around
to the other side of the bed and lifting Diana up off of the bed, she called
for Dancea to come and clean and change the linen.
Xena carried Diana into the sitting area and gently placed her on the sofa and
then pulled the sofa chair close to the sofa and sat down and studied Diana.
Diana kept her eyes lowered as she looked down at her leg.
Finally Xena spoke.
“ Your leg will heal, and so will your tooth.”
Diana didn’t say anything she just furrowed her brows and just kept looking at
her leg.
“ Are you going to speak to me?”
Diana went to reposition herself , but Xena came to her feet and repositioned
the pillows behind Diana’s back. Diana settled into them and sparing a quick
glance up at Xena as she sat back down, she then returned her eyes to her leg.
“ Are you comfortable?”
Diana cut her eyes to the woman, and then looked back at her broken leg.
“ Are you going to speak or not?”
Diana didn’t answer she just looked at her leg.
“ OKAY Fine Then I’ll talk!!” Xena shouted as she came to her feet and Diana
flinched, thinking she was going to hurt her more. “ I’m not going to hurt you
Diana. I can’t believe you! You are so....Stubborn, willful, disobedient,
sassy and bold, to be such a beautiful young woman I have ever met. I don’t
know how the other Xena stays sane, I would think she is always scolding you.
The thing you try here was beyond dangerous, it was suicidal in the least.
What were you thinking?”
Diana cut her eyes to Xena and then looked back at her leg, but this time Xena
didn’t allow her to ignore her. She caught Diana’s chin and turned her face to
look her in the eyes.
“ I asked you a question.” Xena said demanding her to answer.
“ I.....I was thinking about stopping to evil beings from destroying this
place.” Diana stated with conviction. Xena let go of Diana’s chin with the
mention of the word evil beings and sat back and listened to Diana, as she
absorbed the contempt Diana had for her and Questra.
Diana saw Xena flinch with her words and she decided to continue.
“ You said you wanted to learn to love? I knew you were lying, your tongue is
as forked as a serpents, the only difference between you and a serpent is the
fact that you purposefully choose to lie, a serpent just does things on
instinct. Every damn word that came out of that mouth was poison, full of
venom. I just can’t believe that your as beautiful as you are on the outside,
because I’m sure if you were turned inside out, you would be the most
abhorrent creature to ever walk ANY planet. I just can’t believe I even gave
your words a second thought, I wasted those moments on those lies. But I won’t
again. If you didn’t have Xena’s face then I would never want to look upon you
or Questra again, but I know if I let you cause me to be disgusted by you
completely, then it would be hard to look at my Xena and Questra, and I won’t
let you or anyone ever keep me from gazing upon the beautiful women Gabrielle
and I have chosen as life partners, so despite my hate and utter contempt for
you and Questra, I will look at you, I will allow you to talk to me, But I
will not believe anything that comes out of yours or her mouth when it comes
to words of Love and affection and wanting to change and having a chance, or
any of that crap!! So whatever you have or want to say to me, just make sure
it’s about the opening and nothing about you or me, because LADY there is no
you, or me, and by all the Gods there never will be. So if you want to destroy
this world and any other world, then you go right ahead and try, but remember
this Xena,while your trying to destroy, My Xena and Gabrielle’s Questra will
be making LOVE in between trying to save this world from the bile of the
world, you and Questra. So while your trying to stay focused on things of war
and destruction, while being tight as a drum, Xena and Questra our mates along
with Gabrielle and myself will be focus on destroying your GOD and then
banishing the two of you to no where land.”
“ You hate us that much?”
“ Actually Xena Clone....I hate do, but I hate you more.” Diana stated as she
raised a brow and leveled her eyes on Xena and set her jaw.
Xena glared at her and then after a moment of Diana’s sheer contempt radiating
from her, she looked away, in disgust.
“ Excuse me My Lord?”
Xena looked up and over at Dancea who was standing in the door of the Bed
chamber.
“ Your bed and the chamber is cleaned up.”
Xena gave a slight nod and then with a wave of her hand she dismissed the
servant. She then looked back at Diana who had not taken her eyes off of the
woman.
“ I’ll carry you back to the bed.” Xena stated without a second thought.
“ No! “
“ Your not sleeping out here, you will sleep in the bed like your suppose to.”
Xena then went to lift Diana, but Diana moved away.
“ No. I don’t want you touching me again, I will take myself back to the
chamber, without your help!”
“ Why don’t you want me to help you back?!”
“ Why help me now? you didn’t back then when Questra was beating the shit out
of me? Why would I want it now?!” Diana lambasted.
“ WHAT??!! Your blaming me for your hardheadness??!! You listen to me little
girl! In case you’ve forgotten, which I could see how it could happen,
considering she did beat you ass, I told you to unlock those chains I told you
time and time again, but NOO.....your stubborn ass wouldn’t listen, I told you
that if she got in and I was still locked, I would not be able to stop her! I
told you that! But you chose to take your chance, you chose to try and fight
A CHOSEN! I know for a fact I have told you time and time again that your
stubbornness would get you hurt! But did you listen?! Tartarus NO! You....”
“ I don’t want to hear this! Diana shouted as she went to try and get up off
of the sofa and felt a shooting pain run up her back, and she fell back onto
the sofa once again.
“ SEE?!! This is exactly what I’m talking about, your so damn hardheaded, that
sometimes I feel like just whipping your ass until you get it through that
head of yours that I can’t stand your hardheadness.”
“ Suffer!” Diana hissed as she again tried to get up, despite Xena glaring at
her with daggers in her eyes.
The pain hit Diana again, but she stayed up and then made it to a standing
position.
“ Dancea!!” Diana called.
“ Yes your Majesty?”
“ Can you come and help me to the bed chamber please?”
“ Of course your majesty.” Dancea said heading to come and help Diana.
“ Don’t touch her. I dismissed you, now go.” Xena said calmly through her
teeth.
“ Ye..yes My Lord.” Dancea said as she started to turn and leave.
“ Dancea! She’s not....”
“ Tell her and she dies.” Xena said sending the thought to Diana before Diana
could say what Xena had read from her mind.
Diana looked at Xena and saw the conviction, and so not wanting to risk her
friend she then finished her sentence.
“ She’s not....angry with you Dancea, we had a disagreement about something,
and she’s being a spoiled Royal about it. I’m sorry i disturbed you, good
night Dancea.”
Dancea smiled at Diana and then gave a slight smile towards her mistress, and
Xena gave a nod of her head to indicate that she was not angry with her.
“ Good night Dancea, I will help her majesty to our bed.”
“ Good night My Lord, Your Highness.” Dancea then walked to the servants
entrance and eased out the door and closed it behind her.
Once she was gone, Diana looked back at Xena and gave a mocking, “ Ha! Right?”
Xena then stepped up to Diana and Diana almost fell back onto the sofa, but
Xena caught her and sweeping her up in her arms despite Diana’s protest, she
carried her to the bed chamber and rather than going straight to the bed she
went and stepped through the apparatus with Diana and Diana yelped at the
sudden shower, and then coming out the other side cleaned and refreshed she
walked over to the bed with Diana in her arms still and laid her down and in
the bed.
Diana jerked away once she was laid in the bed. Xena smirked and then walked
around to the other side and climbed under the covers.
“ Good night Consort.” Xena called as she settled in the bed and closed her
eyes to go to sleep.
Diana laid seething as she at times cut her eyes over to the woman laying next
to her as if everything was wonderful and normal.
“ I can not believe this bitch.” Diana said to herself, and then she suddenly
saw a shadow and then felt a burning sensation to her thigh on the uninjured
leg.
“ OWW!! What the....?”
“ If you say one more disrespectful thing to me, about me, or Questra, I will
whip you despite all of your injuries. I don;t want to hear another curse word
come out of that mouth, if I do, you will be sorry, I promise you.”
“ You curse. I’m a grown woman, I can say what I want to say.”
“ You’ve been warned, don’t let that willful, disobedient nature of yours,
lead to your behind getting whipped? I may not be the other Xena, but I am
Xena the Conqueror, no matter how I came about, and as such you will do what I
tell you to do. Now go to sleep, you need to get some rest so you can heal.”
Xena finished as she rolled back over and once again closed her eyes.
Diana held back the tears that threaten to roll, and although she wanted to
curse the woman out, she decided to hold her tongue and try to let her body
begin the process of healing, she sent a thought to Gabrielle as she laid in
the bed.
“ Are you okay Gabrielle?”
“ Yes, she didn’t do anything, she’s in the bed asleep, but she’s holding on
to me as if I were some prize or something that she doesn’t want to lose
again.”
“ Hmm, isn’t that funny, but your okay?”
“ Yes, for now, I’m a little scared, well maybe a lot, but as long as she
doesn’t do anything more than this I think I can handle it.”
‘ I know, just don’t upset her, just do what she tells you to do, to the limit
where your comfortable and know you can live with whatever you do?”
“ Okay, I understand what you mean. Are you okay?”
“ Yes. Just drained.”
“ Well get some rest and I will see you in the morning...maybe?”
“ I understand, be careful sis, and know I love you.”
“ I know Diana, if anybody ever felt love from anyone, I feel that everytime I
think of you. I have the saint of sisters.”
“ No, I do, but thank you for being my sister, and no matter what happens, I
will always be here for you, whether in body, mind or spirit, I’ll always be
here. Sweet dreams, I hope their of your Questra?”
“ I love you, sweet dreams of your Xena as well.”
Diana then closed her eyes and proceeded to drift off into Morpheus’s realm.
Xena and Questra lying next to the two young women heard the whole
conversation, and despite everything, Questra for some reason pulled Gabrielle
closer to her and held her almost protectively. Xena on the other hand felt
resentment, because Diana could be so loving towards other and willing to give
others a second or even third chance, and yet she wouldn’t even think about
giving her a first.
Xena inhaled deeply and quietly as she calmed herself, and soon she closed her
eyes again and soon went to sleep.
