Announcement
-from SX Meagher

I'm pleased to announce that I'm now taking orders for the following books:

Arbor Vitae
Awakenings
Beginnings
Coalescence
and
Disclosures

I'm self-publishing these books, and I've named my tiny company Brisk Press in honor of my dear friend Anne.

My printer has promised that I'll received these books by Friday, March 3. I'll begin shipping on Saturday, March 4. I've ordered plenty of books, so if you want one and can't swing it right now--don't worry. I'll have enough to go around.

I'll be out of town from Sunday, March 5 until Sunday, March 12, so there will be a short delay in shipping during my absence.

The previous draft of all of the books will remain available on my website. www.sxmeagher.com

Go to www.briskpress.com to order.

Thank you for your support.

Tomahawk'd is full of suspense and twists that will make you want to read from cover to cover in one sitting. You'll find characters to love and hate. You'll find the parents that every child wants and the ones that shouldn't have had kids. Most of all, you'll find an entertaining story with two girls you will wish you could know in real life.

[note from steph: for some reason for me the story shows to not be there when I click on it but if you refresh the page it appears. This is a really good story, excellent in fact, so it's well worth the time to take the step if you have the same problem I do with it.]

Whatcha gonna do?

The main characters were doctors, lawyers, agents, mobsters, artists, rock stars, shoesalesmen (just kidding)...maybe

Whatcha gonna do?

The Royal Academy of Bards is proud to announce a new service for it's loyal readers...ACADEMY 4-1-1. Yes, we now have a yahoo list specifically set aside for folks to ask and receive help in identifying titles and plotlines that are perched on the tip of their tongues or long gone on vacationing braincells.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Academy_4-1-1/

The Academy is even prouder to announce that we managed to sucker...ummm...coerce...uhhh...I know...convince...yeah, convince two extremely knowledgeable fanfic experts into moderating this group.

Joining the Academy as Information Munchkins are Laurie B and TLC. Both are well-known in the Verse. I won't mention what they are well-known for...well, okay I'll mention. <.bg.>

Laurie has been helpfully providing this ID service for quite awhile now. Usually, she is the first to chime in with a response and a link. While TLC is known primarily for giving OZ a hard time and for knowing EVERY answer to EVERY trivia question EVER posted...EVER.

Minds like steel traps.
Yeppers, we gots a couple of good ones here. :o)

They will be onhand to try to answer any queries posted, however we do encourage anyone with a good memory of fanfic to participate in helping provide the answers to the posted inquiries.

In addition, the list can be used for sharing recommendations of stories/books that you have enjoyed.
Plus there will be weekly reminders/recommendations of past great fiction that newbies may want to check out and longtime fanfic addicts may want to revisit. There will be polls and discussions and I'm sure somewhere along the line "fun" is going to slip in there.

If you wish to join the group...check it out at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Academy_4-1-1/

Oh and drop Laurie and TLC a line and congratulate them on becoming Munchkins...OR you can stop by the Academy and visit them in person. Their new offices are just down the hallway from the main library and across from the kitchenette (also known as OZ's fire factory). Really nice offices too...picture windows that overlook the gardens...not like the basement some of us (who shall remain nameless) reside in.

Coup de Grace by Vivian Darkbloom [alt/Mel&Janice/unfinished but really not]
The fabulously ill-tempered archaeologist Janice Covington and Southern-Belle-in-Exile Melinda Pappas gradually discover the real truth at the heart of the Xena Scrolls, in a story that darkly plays with time and memory, loss and desire, and the nature of what is real and what is not. While the story references characters and incidents in earlier stories ("Venezia" and "The Secret Histories") it is possible to read this as a stand-alone piece, particularly if one is drinking heavily.

No copyright infringement intended, no profit gained. Warning: The writer is as ill-tempered as her protagonist, so please do not crib or steal anything from this story or I will hunt you down and rip out your heart through your throat.

<We will be posting one section of Coup de Grace at a time -weekly. Our goal is to have it for each thursday. The story is complete. - steph>

Deep-burning and unquenchable.
