Announcement from Geonn Cannon
It's been a crazy month! My novel-turned-webseries is now FILMED. The words I wrote were printed out, actors learned them, and it was shot in a studio and at various locations around Los Angeles (including an actual castle!). Now all that remains is editing, special effects, music... uh, actually a lot still remains. But it's on film! The actors... oh man. Marem Hassler is absolutely amazing. Liz Vassey from CSI and Nikki & Nora brought one of my characters to life! Maeve Quinlan from South of Nowhere and 3Way! Connor Trinneer from Star Trek Enterprise and Stargate Atlantis.

If you want to stay up to date on the production, please check out Tumblr ( http://rileyparra.tumblr.com/ ) or Twitter ( https://twitter.com/NikkiAndNora ) for all the pertinent updates! For those who don't know, it's about a homicide detective who is chosen as champion in the war between good and evil. She also falls in love with the medical examiner. It's like Rizzoli & Isles without the queerbaiting meets Lost Girl without the dude or the love triangle.
Everyone involved is super excited about it. The first assistant director even bought a copy of the first novel halfway through filming. I'd say that's a pretty good sign. ::g::
So a note to any Bard reading this... the only difference between you and me (who started posting here way about around 2005 or so) is time and giving people a chance to say no. Saying no won't be the end of the world; it just means you move on to the next opportunity, and "no" doesn't always have to be final. Stargate Novels said no to me in 2004. In 2014, they published a book called "Two Roads," and I'm still writing official short stories for them. You'll probably hear "no" a lot, but it's the only way you'll ever hear "yes." And the "yes"es can change your life.
