The Empty Heart by WordWarior [classic/alt/complete]
synopsis from Lunacyreviews.com
Originally written in the Spring of 1997, this phenomenal story is the final entry in the trilogy WordWarior began with her masterpiece TRUTH OR DARE, and which she followed later with THE CHILD. Starting just after the events in that second story, THE EMPTY HEART has Xena emotionally decimated by the loss of little Ilsa and trying to deal also with the repercussions of a promise she made to a foreign god. Unbeknownst to the Warrior Princess, the fulfillment of that promise has brought into her life perhaps the deadliest enemy she has ever known. An enemy willing to hide in the shadows watching as Xena looses everything and everyone she's ever cared for. Exceptionally written and edited, this story features the return of the ever-popular healer "Widgie" we first met in TRUTH OR DARE and whom we learn a bit more about this time around. THE EMPTY HEART is a dark tale of guilt, regret and revenge all pitted against the power of love to heal and ultimately overcome. It is a treat from one of the finest talents in Xena fan fiction. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Personally Yours, Bard Challenge #19 is officially over.
This turned out to be one of the most popular challenges with both bards and readers. Especially readers. More votes were cast in this challenge than any other in our history. WOW! It was nice to see that every story got votes too.
Big THANK YOU to the Bards. YOU ROCK! I hope you had fun and you will join us for the Solstice Challenge later this year. Big THANK YOU to the readers and voters. But your job isn't over yet. Once the ID info goes back on the stories, please click the links and FEED THOSE BARDS. And of course...Big THANKS to the Academy Munchkins and da Boss. Everybody welcome Chris to the ranks of Challenge Munchkins. Chris and PT did all the page work. J did an awesome job on the graphic. The Boss? She lets me continue to do all this which ultimately means more work for the Munchkins. Thanks guys.

Now, let me tell you who the winners are:
Our most popular story is by a newbie who was kinda tentative about posting it:

Echoes of the Past (revised) by J.M. Dragon and E. O'Reilly [original/alt/unfinished]
Author's Note:
Going back over the original Echoes of the Past and in particular the characters of Olivia and Parker, we felt that they were not as fully developed as they should be. Therefore, we reedited the story and, as with all editing, we added changes not only to the characters but the storyline as well. We hope you will find this version a satisfying read.
Synopsis:
Olivia and Amelia are living together in a platonic relationship when an old love asks for Olivia's help. Will the old feelings Olivia had for her first love reemerge or will she stay with Amelia? This fast moving story has twists and turns and some you won't see coming.

1.PayPal - Teresa has a PayPal account the we can use to send money. In order to use PayPal, you need to have an PayPal account. As I just found out, it's very easy to create an account. Go to www.paypal.com and follow the instructions. Once you've created your account, you can send money to Teresa's account. Her account is windborn13 @ bellsouth.net

2. Gift cards - If you don't want to create a PayPal account, you can send them MarterCard of Visa gifts cards. You can purchase these at Walgreens, Eckard, CSV pharmacies. These would also provide a great deal of flexibility for Teresa to get what they need.
