September 11th, 2008

It's hard to believe that seven years have gone by since September 11, 2001. That is a day that will be forever in our memories. The events on that day have changed the world and made it what it is today. It's so sad to see the mounting deaths because of the war. Because of our wish of peace, I'd like to encourage you guys all find out more about Peace One Day.

Peace One Day - Jeremy Gilley is an actor turned film maker, who in the late 1990's became preoccupied with questions about the fundamental nature of humanity and the issue of peace. He decided to explore these through the medium of film, and specifically, to create a documentary following his campaign to establish a day of ceasefire and non-violence. In 1999, Jeremy founded Peace One Day, a non-profit organisation, and in 2001 Peace One Day's efforts were rewarded when the United Nations unanimously adopted the first-ever day of global ceasefire and non-violence on 21 September annually - Peace Day. In 2007 according to the UN, over 100 million people were active on Peace Day, in 192 countries. There were life-saving initiatives in 14 countries, and over 80 activities in Afghanistan alone where 1.4 million children were vaccinated against polio. WHAT WILL YOU DO TO MAKE PEACE ON 21 SEPTEMBER? Make your commitment now at www.peaceoneday.org

In this Season Four story, Gabrielle finds mixed results and an old enemy when she seeks help from the Amazons in dealing with a Warrior Princess who seems to be living her past and future in unexpected way.

No, I'M Xena by IseQween
Xena’s disappearance between Season Three’s ending episode SACRIFICE 2 and the early Season Four A FAMILY AFFAIR inspires new heroes to carry on in her image

Alive Day by Geonn Cannon
A potentially life-threatening situation causes Deputy Andrea Tyler to rethink the most important relationship in her life.
Author Note: This started out as the prologue of a future novel, but I loved the characters so much - and posting this story was so secondary to the novel's story - that I had to write it out. For the fans. :D If people want to read more about Kelsey and Andrea, drop me a line and let me know! More stories with these two are definitely a possibility (even if they aren't on Squire's Isle, they live in the same universe. FYI).

From KG MacGregor
Aftershock is now available for pre-order from Bella Books. This second book in the Shaken Series, the sequel to Without Warning, finds Anna & Lily settled in their new home, relishing the wonderful love they have found with each other. All of that is about to change. Indeed, Aftershock lives up to its name. Rest assured it is a story of triumph, of love without limits, perhaps the most romantic story I've ever told. You can read Chapter 1 at www.kgmacgregor.com.
