We have gotten a bunch of stories in but WE WANT MORE...MORE...MORE.
C'mon y'all, anyone can write 1000 words. I even talked my favorite Bard into participating. She (who writes raging epics) managed to take a couple of her own characters and give us another look at them. All in exactly 1000 words. Granted it has no disclaimer and no title...but she made the effort and the word limit. <.g.>

**hint hint** for all you established bards...you could do the same and give us another quick peek at some of your characters. You couldn't compete with those (only participate), but you will have undying gratitude of your fans, the rabid readers.

I know there are folks out there who have wanted to give these Bard Challenges a try...here's your chance. Pick a pic and let your imagination go. NO EXCUSES...it's only 1000 words (or less). C'mon. You know you wanna.

It's that time again...the Annual Solstice Bard Challenge.  This is BC #20....can you believe it?  It seems like only yesterday when I annoyed...ummm...approached Steph with the idea of doing these.  <.g.>  
 
This year we have a premise that we hope will get EVERYONE writing.  We call it the "you have no legitimate excuse not to play" Challenge.
 
Can't write X&G?  No problem.  
Prefer to write Ubers/originals?  C'mon and play.
Writing epics not your forte?  Good.  Because we don't want any epics.
 
BC #20: A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words
The "challenge" is to take one of the twenty pictures we are providing to you and write a story about it.  The "catch" is that you have only a thousand words to do it in.  You may use less, but you cannot exceed one thousand.  Please read the ROOOLS... pay close attention to ROOOL #4.  This will be strictly enforced. My MS Word program will be doing the official counting.
 
Also, we changed the basic Challenge ROOOL this time around.  You may, should you feel the inspiration, enter up to twenty stories....one for each picture.  We really hope some people do just that...we would love to see lots of entries.

For those of you that I still can't coerce into participating in the Bard Challenge...Evil J and I have prepared a new PUNZle Contest for you.
