I would like to congratulate Shadowriter on winning the Xippy for the story Passing On. For those who have yet to read it, go take a look!
It was written in the summer of 1995 after Shadowriter lost a good friend to AIDS.

This is for anyone who read and liked Bar Girls by Jules Kurre. Her publisher, RAP, has expressed an interest in taking its books to "real" bookstores (i.e., not just Internet) and they are encouraging the authors to advertise their books. She's in the process of getting together what is known as a "praise sheet" (a collection of endorsements for the book). If you are interested in writing a brief comment (no more than 150 words is necessary) about Bar Girls and you are willing to include your name (it can be a pseudonym), where you live (generally, like Jane Doe, Columbus, Ohio), and your occupation (optional), she would appreciate it. You can email those comments to juleskurre@aol.com and she'll include them in the "praise sheet" that will be sent out to bookstores around the country. Bookstores are more likely to carry a book that they know people have read and liked.
Also, writing online reviews for Bar Girls on Internet bookstore web sites such as bn.com, amazon.com, and borders.com is extremely helpful. Often, people buy a book based on those online reviews. If you are so inclined to do so, Jules would be very grateful.

Sent on an errand for her mother a fifteen year old Xena comes to Potedeia. And meets a small, blonde girl. Feeling herself pulled towards her in way she can't quite explain. Not knowing the pain Gabrielle has to go through at home she leaves again after a couple of days. But sometimes we're meant to meet and be together. A lesson Xena is about to learn herself. ... But will she accept her destiny? - The story covers nearly fifteen years in the lives of Xena and Gabrielle but I promise it will be finished and it won't be as long as it may sound.

This story is a re-working of the season 4 episode "Crusader" told as if Najara was a raving alcoholic, (full of the Gin) and in denial about her feelings towards Gabrielle. For the multitude of you who have asked about the status of Don't Ask, Don't Tell by S.K. Allen
You can pass on that I am working on a very important project that has taken all of my time and is due to be finalized any day now. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with me writing... but He is special to me all the same. I just moved back home to VA from Arizona which has been my first delay. I am living at home with my parents, and working as often as I can before I have to take maternity leave. The baby is due any day now, and I will let you all know when he comes. Unfortunately that has slowed me down on everything else... and I will do my best to get back to writing or really editing the story as soon as possible.
